Figured you hadn't had enough shit thrown at you this year so you asked to have a laser beamed into your eyes? I was pretty much blind in my left eye and half blind in my right. I could make out shapes in my left eye before the surgery. I couldn’t stop smiling the entire day after the surgery. I’ve been putting this off for years, but I Finally bit the bullet and had it done. I wasn’t uptight about any of the surgeries I had done, but the idea of somebody fucking with my eyes terrified me. They gave me something for anxiety. At the surgeons office and I really didn’t sweat it at all. I’m so glad I had this done and I wish I had had it done sooner now I can’t wait to get my right eye done. I'm not blind but pretty near sighted since I was a kid. I've been wearing contacts since I was 14. I'm fine with any kind of surgery but the idea of cutting my eyeball and firing a laser in it..fuck that, I'm sticking to contacts. Kudos for doing it.

Lasik is 100% worth it if you are eligible. Got it done a few years ago and can't say enough good things about it. Worst part is not getting water in your eyes for the first week or so, but that is nothing compared to seeing clearly

Ever since then my vision is getting worse and worse. My concern around Lasik, is that in 5 years my age will screw up my sight and I will be back in glasses. Lasik won't stop my old eyes from getting older. I absolutely hate wearing glasses but cannot wear contacts, well, I can get them in but need a Dr. to get them out. Getting old id not for pussies, that's for sure.

I have them stashed all over my house and car. Drives my wife nuts, even though her fucking glasses are everywhere too. I wonder if lasik would help?

The doctor who did my surgery said that even after getting lasik, due to natural deterioration, everyone will eventually need cheaters

Had perfect vision my whole life. Now I can't read a menu without cheaters and in a dim restaurant I have to use the flashlight on my phone too.

Gonna be alone on this one, but besides the trans people during the opening ceremony, we kinda crushed the olympics. The sites are awesome (beach volley under the eiffel tower, horse events at Versailles, skatepark at La Concorde..). The idea of doing everything smack in the city is awesome (unless you had to deal with the hassle of living in those areas) . The French fans have been great, not dooshy booing of other countries (besides Argentina in soccer but it's soccer fans so it's expected). All the French who were bitching about it (myself included) have flipped.
Went to gymanastics and female basketball 1/4 final yesterday. Perfectly organized, trains working (no strikes), volunteers everywhere, cops every 100 meters. Going to see athletics tomorrow.
We went into Paris to walk around and the atmosphere is great. The entire center is pedestrian it's a totally different city.
Suck it.

Tell me when Paris returns to normal. Great country, great people, becoming over run by commy policies. /photo/1

Same here... except now I found an online eyeglass company and for about $25 a pair I bought 8 pair and have my "REAL" glasses all around the house.
