so my wife and i move to connecticut but as long islanders, well let's just say we don't blend well
we became friendly with another couple (unmarried) who also moved from long island
played a bunch of golf with the guy, been over each other's places, out for drinks and dinner a few times
we were supposed to go to see a Led Zep show tonight, but i get no reply to my text yesterday
wifne calls the girlfriend this morning to coordinate getting together, gf is like 'oh, um, i don't think tonight is gonna work out'
dude was arrested on thursday night for domestic abuse
so anyway, anyone wanna go see Get the Led Out?
ps you gotta be the designated driver. oh and i'm gonna do a quick background check. no offense

so my wife and i move to connecticut but as long islanders, well let's just say we don't blend well we became friendly with another couple (unmarried) who also moved from long island played a bunch of golf with the guy, been over each other's places, out for drinks and dinner a few times we were supposed to go to see a Led Zep show tonight, but i get no reply to my text yesterday wifne calls the girlfriend this morning to coordinate getting together, gf is like 'oh, um, i don't think tonight is gonna work out' dude was arrested on thursday night for domestic abuse so anyway, anyone wanna go see Get the Led Out? ps you gotta be the designated driver. oh and i'm gonna do a quick background check. no offense Im sure she had it coming…… 😂 Bad Joke… I Know. so i talked to the girlfriend today, she and the wifne went to the zep show alone last night, i bailed so they could have a girls night out. she's a sweetheart and a successful driven woman, i honestly can't believe she put up with any shit. apparently it's been going on for awhile dude was retired from the finance world where he was making like 300k (before bonuses) at one point, but apparently after two divorces was pretty much bankrupt and living with the girl at her place, she's well off and he contributed dick. literally and figuratively i'm questioning my ability to read people because i've golfed a bunch of times with the dude and we've all socialized a bunch... but the shit she was telling me today was crazy shit anyways dude is facing assault 2, elderly victim (she's 60 but looks 40, great shape, yoga and all that shit)... and from what she tells me, second offense, had one on the slip from his second marriage he's been in the clink since thursday night, 10g bond and nowhere to turn. i reminded myself of that when my leaf blower wouldn't start today, so i didn't get so pissed oh and he's a jets fan. so really he's got nothing going for him. at the moment. |

so i got a friend request from a girlfriend i had in like 10th grade. haven't been in touch for over 40 years i'm like 'yeah what the fuck' and i accept she direct messages me, and because i'm lazy or whatever i don't respond right away. like 5 hours later i go back on FB and there's another message 'are you there?' i wait a few more hours and i respond. over the next day or two we trade messages about our families, jobs, kids, blah blah catching up stuff. key point being i tell her about my sons and my happy marriage finally i give the "well i'm happy it sounds like you've had a good life. it was great to hear from you" thinking that's it so the next day there's a few more messages restarting the convo, and one that goes "remember glassman's hangout room" which was a room in my buddy's house where we all used to get wasted, and where i banged her a couple times i'm too old to have a stalker possibly Yeah. That was me. How did it feel? |
