Funny thing is if Idzik can manage to draft Mariota, all will be forgiven.

Funny thing is if Idzik can manage to draft Mariota, all will be forgiven. Could this have been the 'long term plan' he and Woody keep referring to? That and holdimg on to cap dollars for when a QB is on board

How many OC does Rex need to go though before you realize the old guy is in over his head. The only offense that Rex has stopped this year is the New York Jets

There's no way in hell he's hitching both his reputation and his career as a GM to a former 2nd round pick like G-Nope. G-Nope was once thought of as a quality QB prospect who ended up falling to the 2nd round and Idzik decided to take a flyer when we were still staring down the barrel of another year of the Sanchez/Tebow shitshow. Can't say I blame him. It didn't work out...whatever. Now is the time to make your move for a legit, franchise QB prospect. If the Jets are picking in the Top 5, then you do what it takes to land Mariota.

I don't think Idzik is stupid, he's obviously an extremely intelligent person to have lasted in this league for this long. However he is completely in over his head and that is why he is incompetent. Ever have a co-worker that was smarter than shit but had no clue how to do their job? That's Idzik. They need too completely wipe the slate clean....no one stays.

First and foremost TERRY BRADWAY has to go! How he is still employed by the Jets is beyond me. Idzik has to go as well. In fact they need to clean house. And I think the fact that he will be fired after two years is irrelevant to the Jets being attractive to the other GM candidates. It's not like they're firing Ron Wolf here the guy couldn't have performed worse in the past two drafts and FA periods if he tried. Of course I exxagerate but only by a little. If they don't clean house we'll be doing this all over again next year. One thing I would consider is getting Rob Ryan as a DC under Harbaugh or another offensive minded HC. That would take care of the mutiny problem, continuity problem and to be fair I would've loved to have Rex as a DC if not Rob may be the next best thing. Wasn't Mangini the one who picked the bowling ball with butcher knives? Sent vilma to NO because he didn't fit the system. I don't get why he has a reputation as a good talent evaluater. You had me going and that was great post until you mentioned Rob Ryan for DC. That guy has been a failure at every stop and lives off of his last name, unlike Rex who has had success on that side of the ball. We need a coach that instills some discipline and IMO neither Ryan brings that attribute to the table.
