Not sure he gets out of the 1st now with those numbers today I could see him going to Cincy in the 1st round, but he's very similar to Jaime Collins who went #52 to the Pats. That's what makes the draft so fun. You never know what will happen.

I'm getting the vibe that this draft is deeper than most of the pundits have let on.

Shaq Thompson is really hurting his stock. 4.72 40 with a 1.78 split. I was not expecting that.

I'm getting the vibe that this draft is deeper than most of the pundits have let on. Pretty deep WR draft. Not last year, but real good. Deep at RB, and crazy deep at DE/OLB. The weakest part of this draft is DBs I think and it'd call it avg. We could really knock it out of the park with this draft.

Is Dupree in the conversation at 6 now? I doubt it. This draft is too deep at DE/OLB for him to really be in the convo. Fowler, Beasley, and Ray are better than him. He's pretty inconsistent game to game. Here's their write up. STRENGTHS Freakish athlete with chiseled frame. Outstanding power with ability to rag-doll tight ends at will. Should be an above average edge-setter. Good transition from playing run to rushing quarterback in play-action. Explosive closing burst. Willing thumper when he has a shot on running back. Can drop into space and play zone. Raw, but learning with huge growth potential as a player. Has strength at the point to be a physical edge-setter. Scouts give him plus grade for character. Will post eye-popping numbers at the NFL Scouting Combine. WEAKNESSES Tall but not long. Wins with athleticism over skill at this point. Some scouts believe his instincts are below average, leading to hesitation. Will get caught taking bad angles to the ball. Needs to improve hand fighting. Still raw rushing the passer. Doesn't possess a go-to pass-rush move. Appears to lack urgency in-game. SOURCES TELL US "He's a little slow to diagnose, which causes him to get a late start on plays. I would ask him to drop into space in zone dog looks and that's about it. To me, he's a pure see 'em, get 'em 3-4 rush end." -- NFC East regional scout NFL COMPARISON Jamie Collins BOTTOM LINE Dupree is an explosive, powerful athlete with a background in basketball. While he's been productive at Kentucky, his tape doesn't always do his potential justice. He must continue to improve as a pass rusher, but his traits are undeniable. Difference between being good and great might be his coordinator.

Paul Dawson looks like shit so far....I'm completely surprised by his workout.

Paul Dawson looks like shit so far....I'm completely surprised by his workout. Yeah it looks like he doesn't give a shit out there. He looks nothing like the player I saw on tape. It makes no sense.

I'm getting the vibe that this draft is deeper than most of the pundits have let on. Big time. Deep at WR...deep at RB for sure...deep at OLB....I'd argue deep at corner for those mid-level developmental guys...deep all over outside of QB.

Is Dupree in the conversation at 6 now? If i'm Mac, then i'm going to go out and do as much damage as I can in FA... give our team a chance to select without pressure in the draft - and most importantly, not put themselves in a situation where they're depending on god damn Dexter McNarl to start in his rookie year. Translation, I'd seriously expecting us to make a run at someone like Worilds, Hughes, etc.

I think Burfict is more of a thumper, but yes like him I wouldn't put too much weight into his combine numbers. The kid is a stud when the pads are on. However, in the Risers and Fallers thread I mentioned that I've heard rumors about Dawson having a poor work ethic. I thought it was a bunch of bs, H\his showing today was kind of a red flag for me. I'd still take him, but probably at the end of round 2 top of round 3.
