Good night all around:
Nationals lose. Mets win. 8.5 game lead with 8 to play. Magic # down to 1 Thor with a great outing -- who says he can't pitch on the road. Bats getting going again. And perhaps the best part of the evening, none of these jag relievers who can't get anyone out will be anywhere near the post season roster.

I guess you got 1st dibs on all the boards Lith! Great job by the Mets! Can't wait to see the Nats faces last 3 games! Yup. Remember this one from Werth before the first sweep in August: “I think it’s only a matter of time really. We’re a great second-half team. We’ve been playing with half of our team hurt all year, that’s the reality of the situation. When we all get back, we’ll be right there and back in first place. We are only a game back right now, but as we get healthy, we’ll be rolling again. It’s our division to lose.” -- Jayson Werth

Well done Jason! You delivered on that promise.
Hope they pass out Placards before the Nats series with that written on it.

So... Mets and Dodgers tied at 89-70. Both 3 games to go. Mets, 3 vs. Washington. LAD, 3 vs the Padres.
If they tie overall, does the H2H record determine home field? Because I think the Mets have the edge 4-3 H2H?

Doubleheader tomorrow vs the Nats - Cespedes back in the lineup. This last week has been frustrating, for lack of better word. Ready for the playoffs to start and get this train rolling. Go Padres!

If you get a chance this weekend, say a prayer for Rusty. Suffered a heart attacked yesterday:
RUSTY STAUB RECOVERING FROM HEART ATTACK The former Mets star suffered a heart attack on a flight from Ireland to New York, according to multiple reports. The flight was diverted back to Ireland. Staub is in the hospital and his prognosis is good, according to the team.
