Geno Smith is a TERRIBLE QB. There is really no denying this claim. He clearly fails the eye test and ranks at or near the bottom of starting NFL QBs in almost every statistical measure of quarterback play. I'm starting to get tired of apologists like Harrier defending Geno at every time. It's always on excuse after another - poor o-line, receivers, backs, coaches, waterboys, etc. How is it that the most important position on the field is exonerated from any and all blame? It's akin to saying Hitler isn't to blame for the Holocaust because he didn't personally kill any concentration camp victims. A Hitler analogy. You fail every eye test with this stupid attempt at logic. How so? The argument that Geno proponents make is that he is not responsible for the poor performance of the offense, despite having the most important position on the field. This is analogous to Hitler - obviously the most important guy in the Nazi Regime - somehow not being responsible for people getting killed during WW2. It's about blaming the smaller, less important parts and not looking at the most significant one of all. |
