Dunno, suddenly they can't win face offs, love to pass the puck instead of shoot it, and basically look soft. What the hell is JTs problem?

I know that we have some major injuries, but still these last two games were miserably disappointing. Its one thing to lose a couple of games, but you just don't blow 3 goal leads on consecutive games in this league. The heat is on Cappy, he has to get this team out if the funk they are in. Yjey have to find a way to at least average a point a game until the D gets healthy.

Why do we always pull our top PKers if we get an easy clear 20 fucking seconds in? We do this shit all the time. Grabner spends twenty seconds killing a penalty and we're changing lines.

We were outclassed again tonight and deserved to lose. We need Boychuk and Hammer back in the worst way.......I hope we never see Strait again.
And why the fuck do you sit GR in favor of Strait and Donovan? Reinhart needs all of the ice time he can get for him to be a factor later in the season.

I don't think Cappy is a good motivator. Can't seem to kick these guys in the ass before the game or between periods.
He should read a book on Al Arbour.

Missed most of the game last night -- which seems like it was a pretty good thing. L2 more pp goals against and another 4 goal 3rd period. That is 11 goals in the last three 3rd periods. Just pathetic. We did have one three game losing streak earlier in the season and the team bounced back well from that, but things are not looking pretty right now.
The penalty kill is awful. It was bad last year, we have upgraded the quality of our defense and goalies and it is even worse this year. I am so tired of seeing them sit back in their passive box and let the other team control the puck in our defensive zone. There is no aggression whatsoever on the PK - its like watching my son's peewee team all over again. Sit back in the box and let the other team pass the puck around for 2 minuteness and kill the penalty themselves -- that strategy works for 14 year olds but not in the NHL.
A tough game back home against Chicago coming up -- could be a chance for a big bounce back win, or do we fall deeper into the hole. Another loss or two and is Cappy on the hot seat?

I CAN'T STAND that sit back box bullshit PK. It is unbelievably frustrating. I don't know if they're coached to play that way, or the players do that, but it blows. You should ALWAYS go after the guy with the puck. That way you force them to pass it, leading to mistakes. Letting the other team set up is a huge mistake. Just watch other teams PK's, and how generally effective they are. They aren't anything like the Isles PKs.
