Awesome play by JT on the game winner. Nice to see him playing like the superstar he is supposed to be. Put us on his back and got us 2 points.

I thought the team was a bit sluggish for the first 2 periods, but coach said they played great 5 on 5.

I thought the team was a bit sluggish for the first 2 periods, but coach said they played great 5 on 5. I thought they were sloppy more than sluggish -- they skated pretty well but made some mistakes with the puck, especially in the 2nd.. Someone needs to tell Halak to stay in front of the net, you just knew something bad would happen as he was waiting for the puck to reach the trapezoid. And, can Kyle Okposo please put a shot on the net -- although I guess I shouldn't complain too much since it was his missed shot that led to JTs first goal. Really tough break on the Devils first goal, Okposo breaks his stick and naturally who does the puck find. If he had his stick, its an easy clear. I was thinking it was not going to be our night after that break, but these are the night's you look to a guy like JT to carry you home.

But it was a very nice give and go from the Devils - giving credit where its due.
My main thought walking out of the building last night was:
J Fucking T!!!!!
He really stepped up when we needed it. I'm not sure what they said on TV but I'm pretty sure he meant to do exactly what he did on the first goal. Not like it was a fluke or anything. And his second goal was a thing of beauty. Happened right in front of us. You saw him intent on stealing that puck and then just a phenomenal goal scorers move. Just beautiful. We may have our superstar back.

Seems like the Isles fans represented well in Newark -- at least based on the telecast. I am sure you had a blast. Last night's win was all about JT. Having lost two in a row, 6 or 7 minutes left, appearing to be on their way to a 3rd straight, and JT stepped up huge. I had the Devils telecast and they said that it was obvious that JT tried to do exactly what he did, bank the puck off the back of Kincaid's pads. I have probably watched the replay of the game winner a dozen times. Those are the kind of individual plays that great players make to win games. I think that is now 3 OT game winners for JT this season. Really want to see a strong performance tonight in Columbus. We need to be playing our best to knock off the Rangers at the Garden on Tuesday night -- they have been on fire. Yet none of the Ranger fans on this board really seem to care.

If you think about it, Johnson HAS to get a win sooner or later. Why not tonight?

If your only exposure to NY was JI, you'd think that everyone in NY is an Islanders fan and a Republican.
