Most of us have been clamoring for Lee on the first line for some time now. It's nice too see him making the best of his opportunity.

And hopefully tonight the second and third lines will start producing.

Strange game hockey can be at times.
I missed the first two periods last night, but it sounded like we dominated for huge stretches but came away tied. 3rd period, we get outshot 17-11, get stuck in our own zone for long stretches, yet we finish plays and score 3 times and win by a comfortable 3 goal margin. Major props not only to JT & Bailey, but Halak also. Not sure about the first two periods, but he was brilliant in the 3rd,

Could have been better in the first two.
At least got 2 points vs a lousy team that they should have gotten 2.
Should be a fun game on Monday night.

Islanders just continue to look like the better team. Has been this way all season. Rangers need to figure it out if they want a chance in the playoffs.

Grumble grumble.. That was disappointing. Besides the d needing to be better, Halak needs some rest. His save percentages haven't been that great lately.

Just cannot keep jumping out to early leads and then giving them up. Eventually it had to catch up with them, and last night it did. On to Carolina tonight.

I would be shocked if CJ does not get the nod tonight. Also, did I miss something on DeHaan. I assume he is banged up, but I saw some mention on twitter that he was a healthy scratch???

I think because they were winning, Cappy left Strait in the lineup. Maybe tonight DeHaan is back. cappy should have started CJ on Saturday, givin Halak 4 days rest. Would have been better to lose vs CBJ and win vs NYR.

I wonder if Garth will be shopping for a back-up goalie at the deadline -- it sure does not look like either he or Cappy have much confidence in CJ given the number of games Halak has been playing of late.

I did....and my unplanned reverse psychology worked! lol The Isles have owned my Rangers this year and when they jumped ahead by 2 goals in the 3rd I thought there was no way they'd come back. It was a resilient win....and one the Rangers really needed, even just mentally to prove to themselves that they're capable of beating the Islanders. Very solid win on the road against a very good team. Who knows, as we head down the homestretch here those 2 points may impact home ice advantage!
