I don't mind Johnson in net. I think he needs playing time, and has been playing well of late.
Halak, on the other hand, looks like he needs a rest. Read last week that since December 1, Halaks save % is only 0.900, and GAA wasn't so great either. Basically said Isles have been covering bad goaltending by scoring.

I don't see this as being a DP type contract at all. Leddy is only 23 and has proven that he is a legitimate top pair defenseman. He is being locked up for 7 years, meaning that he will be with us throughout his prime. The DP contract was for 15 years. I think it is a good move. Hopefully they get something done for Boychuk too. |

Another good game by Johnson, just what this team needed right now. No doubt. 20 games to go, and I was getting a little worried. Would be worried if they don't start to pick it up a little with 15 to go. A little lull after the all star break, but heat up before the playoffs start. Even the playoffs aren't guaranteed yet. |
