Another good game by Johnson, just what this team needed right now. No doubt. 20 games to go, and I was getting a little worried. Would be worried if they don't start to pick it up a little with 15 to go. A little lull after the all star break, but heat up before the playoffs start. Even the playoffs aren't guaranteed yet.It would take a collapse of historic proportions for the Islanders to miss the playoffs. I get the paranoia, I myself have been counting the points between us and the current 9 seed, but still - really cannot see that type of implosion happening with this team. |

As a fan of the NY Mets and the NY Jets, I know firsthand about collapses of historic proportions. The Isles have a 17 point cushion on the Panthers who are the 9 seed -- I never take anything for granted anymore, but I have to admit that I am feeling pretty confident about the playoffs. |

Another good game by Johnson, just what this team needed right now. CJ has been really solid his last few outings -- I think that is 6 goals allowed in his last 4 starts. Great to see him coming around. A couple of weeks ago I was speculating on whether Garth should try to make a move for a backup goalie. CJ has answered that one for me over the last couple of weeks. |

Too bad Jaro lost the shutout with 20 secs left, but still a strong effort -- nice to see him play well tonight. Clutter finally gets the goal he should have had earlier in the period, just glad the bad no goal call didn't hurt us.

That was a game we deserved to win and the NG had me in an uproar. I listened to the Calgary announcers and even they had no clue as to why it was not a goal.

Not sure why a play like that is not reviewable. Goal or no goal is a pretty fucking important call to get right. At least it didn't cost us anything tonight like some of the no goal calls from last year. |

At least it didn't cost us anything tonight like some of the no goal calls from last year. I was fucking livid. I'm not sure why the refs didn't give us a make-up call later in the game, when they know they blew the call. |

Was at the game with my son. wtf was the call with that...the scoreboard said "CALL TO TORONTO" for a review, 2 seconds later they're facing off. no explanation all the replays we were like "WTF?  " i figured maybe a whistle anyway another awesome game and another great coliseum memory for the boy |

It was as horibad as the non Vanek goal last year, maybe worse. |

DVR'd the game yesterday. Watched up to Carolinas kicked in goal. I KNEW they weren't winning after that. Zipped thru the rest of the game in 5 minutes.
TBH, Isles playing like an 8 seed of late.

Just a bad effort all around. Turning the puck over all night, passes were a bit off, trying to be too cute in the offensive end. Just one of those nights -- I would like to blame it on the back to back, but Carolina was also coming off a game on Friday night. At least the schedule eases up a bit in March.
