The crowd is dead? More like the Isles are dead. What happened to the days of a good old fight sparking the team? Bunch of pussies out there. This was the kind of game that really could have used that. Anything to get them going. 3 goals in the last 3 games -- not going to win many games if you only score once per game. Still 14 points up on the Panthers for the last playoff spot, but Panthers have three games in hand. Going to be at the Garden tomorrow for Rangers - Panthers. We are not going to catch the Rangers in the division, so do I prefer seeing the Panthers lose?

Washed my jersey yesterday. Wash the stank off it, and hopefully off the team, too.

the last couple of weeks kinda blows, but i remind you, if i had told you on october 1st that if you blew a donkey, the islanders would have 90 points with 11 games left to play, you woulda blown that donkey
this may not be our year, but this young fucking team is going to be beastly for as long as you own your present vehicle and probably your next one too

Just make the playoffs, and win a series. I'd be a happy camper with that.

Especially after flying in from Chicago this past weekend for a final visit to the Coliseum only to see them look terrrible, you are absolutely right. I think that they played so well in the first half of the season, that our expectations were raised to an unrelaistic level. They are a legitimate playoff team, whoever they are not yet ready to be considered a contender for the President's Trophy, first in the conference or the cup. That said, in the NHL more than any other sport, just get into the playoffs and you never know -- if they can elevate their play tot he level we saw in Oct - Jan and get some good goaltening, maybe they do have a pretty good run in them. This season has been a blast, and the future looks good for the Isles. Heading to the United Center tonight hoping for a better showing against the Blackhawks. Go Isles!!!

Looks like it will be up to Neuvirth in Chicago tonight.
We really need to get healthy along the blue line. Donovan, Strait and Hickey in the lineup is not a recipe for a long playoff run.

Donovan, Strait and Hickey in the lineup is not a recipe for a long playoff run. That's a recipe for four and done.

Donovan, Strait and Hickey in the lineup is not a recipe for a long playoff run. That's a recipe for four and done. For next season, we desperately need another power forward -- another guy like Lee who can park himself in front of the net, screen the goalie and win the battles to loose pucks/rebounds, etc. And we need to strengthen that 3rd defense pairing. Hopefully Griff and/or Pulock can be the answer, but I am beginning to think Griff is not going to be what we all have been hoping for.

Had you told me playoff spot and a chance at 100+ pts, before the season started, Id have blown that donkey. Now... I just want at least one playoff series win. They're well positioned for the future no doubt.

If Im Garth, I might be listening to offers for Griff + ? to strengthen the defense or get that power forward.

Update: End of 1st Isles - ASLEEP Hawks - 2 Look on the bright side. You are not the one sitting in the stands in yor Isles jersey among 20,000 blackhawks fans watching them sleepwalk through another period. This focking sucks. They better turn it around in P2..
