The Rangers will roll over for Ottawa now with nothing to play for... Isles better wake the fuck up. This better be clinched before Saturday night. Just an absurd ending tonight. Still in shock.

Softest goal I have ever seen given that late in a game. Just unbelievable.

Un - fucking - believeable. I was at the game in Philly tonight. Pretty good contingent of Islander fans sitting miserably and quiet through 58 minutes. Two quick goals. Games tied. 24 seconds left and we are in the playoffs. I cannot watch this team anymore. The late goal was just awful by Halak -- he must have assumed the game was over. You cannot allow a goal on a play like that. But even before the goal - we play so loose in our own end. Guys skating free all night long. Our defense is somewhere between porous and non-existent. Halak blew the last play, but we hung him out to dry all game long.
I think I will watch Real Housewives with my wife on Thursday night. I can't put myself through another game after that disaster tonight.

Amazing that hat as bad as they have been, they are still in the 5 spot. Where the hell is Crasherino? This team started tanking when he stopped posting!

Isles only chance for a W is against an equally shitty Penguins team. CBJ is on fire and will smoke them on Saturday.
Tonight- # # #
* The New York Islanders (idle) would clinch a playoff berth if the Ottawa Senators or Boston Bruins lose in any fashion.

Listen, if the Isles get zero points (one being a regulation loss in the last game played at NVMC) while the Bruins and Senators go 4-0 collectively -- well, the other two squads are more deserving anyway.
That ending is still pissing me off, especially since it basically cost them home ice in the first round.
Question: If the Isles beat Pittsburgh, does that lock them into a first round matchup with Washington?

Thanks to the Panthers, we are in. Now its about playoff seeding and keeping Sid and the Pens out of the playoffs.

Florida played a great game, too. I'd like to see the Isles play like that.

So Brad Boyes with the game winning goal and Roberto Luongo with 34 saves in the Islanders' playoff clincher... LOL.
