Awesome game, what time is game 7? 7:30 Monday night. Announced it late last night. Sweet. New job tomorrow and a series win tomorrow night to cap it off! Hopefully, at least. The Caps final line change will be a big plus for them, like it was for the Isles yesterday.

What a great day yesterday was. I dusted off my SLR to document what could still be the last game there. Will post pictures.
I wouldn't say it was any louder than the Maple Leaf series or that Game 6 vs Pens in 93, but it was most definitely loud. Fun and still bittersweet. Was glad my son got a chance to experience one playoff game there which he shall surely remember the rest of his life. Couldn't help and think about my grandfather who took me to so many games through the years, now passed 15 years, still felt connected to him there. Alas...
The game was great. I thought the Isles were the better team and deserved the outcome. I was bewildered when they announced the Islander scratches. It was quite the list.
I think I set a record for "Let's Go Islander" honks leaving the parking lot. Needed to get my monies worth.

Well one half of that equation is already decided. The only thing that can affect it now is what the Islanders decide to do. New York fans against NY fans, will make things very uncomfortable here, like it already is becoming. Blame Vin! He was a total douchenozzle about it last year. Nothing personal towards you of course, just like I'm sure yours isn't either. Amirite? BTW why does it seem to be all Islander fans on this board? Also BTW sorry about the engineer "joke", seems like you didn't care for it and still remember it, but we architects have to rib someone. Who is Vin? and I don't recall a joke at all. Please retell, I love a good larf. I'm not one to get offended at jokes. but don't insult my beloved Isles! Vin was the poster last year who made an ass of himself taking great pleasure in the Rangers losing the Cup last year, rubbing salt into the fans' wounds and kept doing it long after it had really gotten old. It was definitely not cool. Gave me a really bad impression of Islander fans, a group I didn't even have any awareness of until he did that. Is there even a rivalry? Why should someone be so ecstatic over someone else's team losing. So I wasn't insulting the team. Anyway, as far as the joke, since you don't remember it, I think I'll quit while I'm ahead. LOL

Well fuck off to you, too! Hawks That team looks badass. The Rangers are supposedly a fast team, the Hawks make them look like molasses in January. I hope they don't meet in the Finals. But who's going to eliminate them.

Apologies to Big L, and I agree with his sentiment, but I had to document this for posterity... IMG_2199.MOV (15.3 KB) and this, which could be the last Islander moment at the NVMC. IMG_2204.MOV (12.35 KB)
