My theory on this (for what it's worth): glass jaw glass jaw glass jaw bailed on IK's camp because his friend died. Based on his past history, he probably didn't communicate with IK well (if at all) about this. Instead of saying "No worries, sorry for your loss", IK may have been a d*$# about it to glass jaw glass jaw glass jaw demanding his money back for being "showed up". glass jaw glass jaw glass jaw being the aloof, immature and thin skinned kid probably ignored IK because of him being "callous" as to why (death of a friend) he didn't make it. IK has probably been riding him and breaking his balls about it since camp started, talking shit and badmouthing glass jaw glass jaw glass jaw who he (and probably others on the team) doesn't respect. glass jaw glass jaw glass jaw , who strikes me as non-confrontational, probably got to the point where he said "F this dude" and began to ignore him. Could he have just paid him.....of course. But I can think of times in my life when people became such a pain in the a@@ about something that you finally go "F you" and tune them out and not do what they want you to do. I think (again just my opinion) that IK started up again with the chatter in the locker room on Tuesday and glass jaw glass jaw glass jaw finally had enough, got in his face, told him to back off and shut the F up, put his hand in his face and IK popped him. Again, speculation. But this would explain comments of about how "both were at fault' and still jive with what types of personalities these 2 guys seem to have. Read more: newyorkjetshampur.com/thread/3194/rationalizing-glass jaw glass jaw -incident?page=3#ixzz3ihkldftf Um. Isn't that the actual story? I used some of the "facts" that have been put out there (friend dying, skipping IK's camp, finger in face). What I was trying to speculate on is a possible scenario where Geno, who has come across as laid back, aloof, sensitive and "soft" in his time here, would have gone out of character (based on what I think we've all seen) and got aggressive with IK which led to the punch. My point is, while he probably should have just paid him, that I think it's possible that IK could've been an a@@ about something that was personal to Geno (the death of a friend) which caused Geno to at first blow him off (regarding the $600) and then finally snap after being harassed/taunted about it for a few weeks. In my possible scenario, both guys would be wrong (as coach and teammates have said), but also saying it's possible that IK may have said and done things to cause Geno to "snap" at him which led to the punch. I'm agreeing that both guys did something wrong, but presenting a plausible scenario, which is in-line with their public character, as to how it got to that point beyond Geno just being an a@@ and stiffing a guy out of $600 (which makes no sense) and getting aggressive (which seems out of character for him).

A true leader diffuses such a situation. Think of the exact opposite of what Ragu does as the leader of this site, and there's the definition of a true leader.

First I'm hearing this on NFLN...Geno had surgery today, opted not to get jaw wired shut, rather have a plate put in and some other hardware that is supposed to allow for faster healing.

Should've opted for having his jaw wired, thereby preventing his mouth from getting his jaw flown again anytime soon.

Well that would be interesting. Finally, some good news for this team. We are not going anywhere w/ Fitz. I want to see Geno w/ a real WR corps. Let's see how quick he can make it back and start practicing again. Hopefully sooner rather than later by the sounds of this.

We need Jeno back asap. He gives us the best chance to win. Fitz is a good back up. Petty not ready.
