How is being back in week 1 a good thing when he will miss camp? He needed camp. Plus he sucks.

He does suck but at least there is the lottery ticket of hope that the light clicks on and he becomes a "good" qb. We all know what fitzy is, dead in the water with an 8-8 9-7 season every year.

First I'm hearing this on NFLN...Paperface had surgery today, opted not to get jaw wired shut, rather have a plate put in and some other hardware that is supposed to allow for faster healing. Should've opted for having his jaw wired, thereby preventing his mouth from getting his jaw flown again anytime soon. Maybe he can have it wired shut after he's back

Well that would be interesting. How is this good news? He's a doctor, not a football fan Jim!

i don't know who watched the nfl network pregame show yesterday but mike irvin was the first person to say it on the air... "The Jets are already in trouble man, any time you have rely on Fitzpatrick, you're in trouble... let's just say it how it is."

You need to give the bone matrix a chance to start meshing before jarring it. Unless he stands perfectly still while throwing it there is going to be some shock

My only point is that he should be able too practice full speed with very minor limitations and some hockey players come back from a broken jaw within days to play a full contact sport. Here's another link for the Isles Cizikas. Dude missed one game and centers their fourth line. www.newsday.com/sports/columnists/arthur-staple/casey-cizikas-feels-he-let-himself-down-this-season-1.7620913
