I am cautiously optimistic about this west coast trip. If this team is for real, they very well could head to MSG already in 2nd place in the division. We've already beat the best of the West. These teams after Minny are terrible. Honestly anything less than 7 points out of these 5 games would be a disappointment.

Nice 2 points. Played well tonight. A few lapses here and there, but overall a solid game IMO. And when we had those lapses, jaro was there to bail them out. 2nd straight strong game out of him. Nice start to the trip. |

That's what can happen when you actually have two forwards on the ice together in OT. You score game winners - great play bu TJ and nice finish bu Bailey.
Built ourselves a little bit of a cushion in the standings -- 5 up on Pitt and 6 on NJ.

Everytime Bailey scores a goal I think TRADE HIM NOW. TRADE HIM NOW. I'd feel the same about Strome if he ever scored a goal.

Carolina Hurricanes trade F Eric Staal to New York Rangers in exchange for F Aleksi Saarela, 2016 2nd-round pick, 2017 2nd-round pick.
Not sure that puts them in contender status with that.

Odds on Hamonic being moved at the deadline? I would be shocked if they move him now. I expect him to be moved in the offseason. Can't afford to move him right now, especially with DeHaan banged up. |
