What the fuck just happened. After sitting for two hours watching 2+ periods of crappy hockey, my wife asks if I mind if she changes the channel. I tell her this game sucks, I don't need to see any more of this shit tonight. Half hour later I get an alert on my phone that they fucking won. How did that happen? What did I miss? LOL I planned on watching the entire game but we ended up at a nice Italian restaurant. After that first period I said lets get the hell out of here, they're definitely losing and then this happens. I missed the 2nd and 3rd but enjoyed a nice meal. At least you got a nice meal out of it -- I wound up sitting on the couch with the wife as she watched some stupid reality show about a bunch of over-sexed overprivileged Hollywood kids. And I will miss tonight's game too, but that's due to work, 3 hour dinner with a bunch of insurance underwriters tonight. Oh well, just hoping the effort from the last few minutes carries over to tonight and they can build a bit of a cushion on the Penguins. |

I really love John Tavares, but FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST can he STOP with the uber-slow penalty shot approach. He SUCKS at it. It has not worked all season. MOVE ON, JT!!! (ok, I feel better getting that out there) This post seems to fit tonight too. Will Cappy ever decide to replace JT in the shootout? |

3 on 3 is a nightmare for us. Cappy started playing 2 forwards, and it really has no made much difference. We don't possess the puck, we couldn't beat the Pens foreheck last night. Bottled up in our own end with tired skaters for most of the 5 minutes. Berube at least gave us a shot at 2 -- he was awesome. In the shootout, it seems like its all about Franz. He scores and we have a chance. If he doesn't we lose. |

At some, point, you would think the law of averages would kick in... Even Butchie agreed with me on the post game about the slow approach. Either way, Cappy's hands are tied. As he said, it's JT's team... and JT is our most skilled player. He must take a turn. But I would have him go first, maybe takes the pressure off. Have Franz go third. |
