You know what I'd like to hear? Instead of the players saying we just have to play better, I'd like to hear HOW they plan on playing better. "I have to do X, Y, and Z to play better."
They choked last year down the stretch, too.

I was at the game last night. Only positive was that I was in a box and I didn't have to pay for the beer.
This team simply cannot generate consistent scoring chances and when they do, they cannot finish.
And someone needs to put out an APB for JT. He is MIA.

I still wonder if he has been battling an injury we won't learn about until the offseason. On the bright side, Philly had an epic collapse in the final minutes last night up 2-0 and on the power play. If that happened to the Islanders, we would be in a full on death spiral today... Let's get 2 points tonight and stabilize the season!!! |

Oughta be a crapfest of a game tonight. Senators on the second half of a back to back and 0 for 27 on the PP last 10 games. Isles in a death spiral and also pathetic on the PP. I give you 1:1 odds Ottawa scores a PP goal tonight.

While a well needed 2 points, I'm not convinced the slump is over. Didn't see the first, but checked the box score half way through. 0-2 on the PP, 2 shots. That's vs. a lousy Ottawa team.
Ottawa was one of the three teams left on the schedule they could beat. The other two are Columbus and buffalo, and I'm not so sure about buffalo.
