What kind of leash is Cappy on? Wow do I hope it's short. Instead of another Vanek trade to give the team a shot in the arm, this time I'd like to see a coaching change as the shot in the arm. I can't imagine that Cappy is on any kind of a short leash. I would be shocked if he does not finish the season -- just does not seem like something Garth would do mid season. We are only two games in, both against the defending Stanley Cup champs -- no shame in losing to the Hawks in Chicago, but I would have liked to have seen a better effort. |

Oh totally understood, only 2 games in. Played the champs. Would have liked to see a bit more effort. This feels very similar to the second half of last season, and the start of the season after the Pitt series. If Garf is going to do something like he usually seems to do, I hope it's the coach this time.

Heard a rumor isles/kings working on a trade. Experience to Isles, cap friendly to kings.
Eklund. Have no idea who that is, so take the rumor with a grain of salt.

So, it turns out I saw the last win in Nassau and the first in Brooklyn. Pretty cool.
I sat 12 rows up, center ice. Great seats, although the near board corners were a bit more obscured than in a typical arena. I believe this is because the crowd sits up high on the boards and it has a cascading effect. Crowd was decent although it was definitely a bit strange. Will take some getting use to, but as far as fan comfort goes, there is just no comparison. Barclays is a first class arena. Especially when you have unlimited food credit on your ticket!

They should have scored 7 or 8 goals honestly. Missed breakaways and a missed Penalty Shot. The game should not have been close. Isles had 40 SOG before the Jets had 15.

Good W last night vs. Nash. Greiss played good, made some saves I didn't think he would. Isles overcame 2-0 first period deficit. Strome whiffed on an open net though to make the last minute a little more nerve racking than necessary.
