Islamic loon holding something like 50 ppl in cafe the past 10 hours. News ain't saying shit obviously. Demanding an ISIS flag or some shit. Says he has bombs and guns etc. Live youtube stream.
Think he gets sniped or thing he kills himself? Think he kills anyone else? Nobody yet, 10 hours in. Supposedly he wants to go live on TV.
Doubt he's a real Terrist, would have just blown it up already if so. He is a muslim islamic animal tho. I'd just snipe him TBH.

Just workplace violence. Nothing to see here. If Australians would just get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and placate the Muslims more they wouldn't have had to do this.

Think this guy just had a screw loose. I'm not sure it had much to do with Islam. Very sad. The place where it happened is basically the middle of the city - its normally a very cruisy area with a lot of suits and also a lot of very good looking women. Its about 20 minutes walk from there to the Harbour and the Opera House. Unfortunatley all the bigots are out in force - not that they need the excuse anyway.

Pretty cool response from Sydney-siders to what is a sad situation, the #I'llridewithyou movement - that's the Australia I know and love.
#I'llridewithyou: Celebrities and tens of thousands of everyday Twitter users take to social media to show support for Muslim community
"Australians have flocked to social media to show solidarity with the Muslim community in the wake of the Martin Place hostage crisis
#illridewithyou has had 112,000 mentions across Twitter and Facebook The campaign offers members of the Islamic faith lifts to work or protection if they feel frightened to wear their religious clothing while catching public transport."

Just wait until they kill 1000X more of you in one shot and see how forgiving you are. There are hundreds of thousands of muslims in this country, we've only ever had trouble here from a very isolated few. Frankly, this latest incident really doesn't have much to do with religion at all, the guy was mentally disturbed, an affliction that doesn't discriminate between religion or anything else for that matter. The fact that many Australians have stood up for their fellow countrymen and women shows the esteem the great majority of muslims are held in this country - they are solid friendly people for the most part, and a lot of Australians recognise this.
