Newly appointed Head Coach Todd Bowles began to fill out his coaching staff with the announcement that he had hired veteran OC Chan Gailey as Offensive Coordinator. 3 days later, he would add Kacy Rodgers to his staff as new DC.
Under Gailey, the Jets finished 10th in total offense (highest since 1998) and 11th in scoring offense (highest since 08). For the record, I was not thrilled with the hire, I didn't like the fact that we were bringing in an older coach who had been out of the game the past two years. I thought the commentary around his work with QBs was overblown. I was wrong, he turned out to be a great hire. Below is link to the thread on this board when the hiring was announced.
