Cimini called him Chad Gailey in his tweet about it. I know it is just a stupid phone autocorrect, but the fact that douche did it made me chortle.

This is how I feel. Not crazy about the pick but it makes sense. He's a good OC and has head coaching experience... albeit piss poor head coaching experience... that Bowles can lean on. Overall, I am pretty excited about the new FO and coaching staff.

Just like the idea of having an experienced, former HC at one of the coordinator positions. Even if he wasn't successful in Bufallo, sometimes you learn more in failure.

Glad to see this done. I am not a big fan of Gailey, but he is the guy Bowles wanted -- would not have been a good sign if he couldn't get him.

another thing i like about Gailey's hiring is that it almost guarantees offensive continuity assuming its a success. nobody will be knocking on our door for him to be their next HC... that ship has sailed. he'll be the OC for the long haul.
as for Rodgers, a HC job may be in his near future. i don't think it matters with Bowles around.

Gailey has the Norv Turner syndrome He sucks as a HC but is one of the better offensive minds and playcallers in the business. And unless Gailey is sold on Geno being a viable option at QB, then Mariota is almost assured of being a Jet if he's still on the board at #6. Absolute perfect fit for Gailey's version of the spread.

I guess the only question there is, how many years until he wants to retire again.
