I like the legalize all option. I can see the fucking utopia now. Having been locked up and seeing heroin meth addicts go through withdrawals..i can just picture when they run out of money to support their habit and they know of places holding vast amounts of it legally. And the happy workforce selling those drugs turning away thousands of addicts without the cash to pay. Something junkies usually don't have cash. It will be utopia as the junkies leave saying well i guess ill find a job and come back tommorow for my fix. Not kill everyone in the immediate area to stop the detoxification taking place in their very soul. I think if you are a violent offender then you go away but this isn't working the way it is now. Addiction is a disease drugs including alcohol are a symptom of that disease. Prison does not work on drug addicts. Only one thing does get sober or die. Two options. That's it. And that's the simple truth no one admits. And i am a severe former alcoholic. Halfway houses with long programs 3 to 5 years mandatory has 80 percent better results then any billion dollar bullshit 28 day programs. Addicts don't only destroy themselves the destroy everyone around them. Especially the functional addict. Kill or Cure. Anyhow Drugs will never be legal check the numbers the rehabilitation businesses generate a year. Nothing will ever change on drugs until the last person on earth takes their last breath . |

And now the FDA just removed CBD (cannabadiol from industrial hemp plants) from dietary supplements, which it was since records began. because it ACTUALLY WORKS for things like seizures, anxiety, and oh just a metric fuckton of stuff. Now they are prohibiting. I swear man I'm losing fuckin hope. Really sick of all of it. Pretty damned envious of that Indian dude who just got splattered by that meteor a few days ago if I'm being honest. First they know of in mankind. Epic fuckin way to go. |

The two most dangerous drugs in the US are by far alcohol and tobacco, both are legal and my drugs of choice. Marijuana abuse is far less harfmful, and like a glass of wine a day can be beneficial. I think the tax the pot and make the govt. rich is a myth. But then again taxing dope is new and I could be proven wrong, alcohol and tobacco tax surely brings in a wealth of tax.
I don't like the idea of legalizing all drugs, but could be easily swayed the other direction because it is obvious that prohibition is not working great. I just have a hard time seeing how making Crack legal will make things better.
I would like to see pot at least decriminalized on the federal level at the very least.
Pot as cure all is also a myth, but there is no doubt it can and does help some folks and it is fun to smoke recreationaly.
I can't speak to the state prisons but federally the prisons are 99% violent felons and not full of folks incarcerated for drug abuse solely.

On September 16th, the state waived tax collection for one day for certain marijuana transactions." Agreed its not a cure all, but I'd give it a shot over addictive opiates any day of the week. Were just finally getting into scientific studies about what it can/cant do. And playing around with different strains. Over its just SO goddamn harmless. No I don't want teens whose brains are fully formed smoking it, but I don't want them drinking either...hows that working out? |
