Never spoke up if he didn't agree. His downfall! 0 replies 32 retweets 8 favorites Brian Custer @bcustertv · 2h 2 hours ago Got a call, & my source says @woodyjohnson4 will meet with Rex & Idzik Monday morning & he would be shocked if either one is retained! #Jets

Just watching Rex's presser, he's talking about his philosophy "stop the run" and "run the ball" usually wins the game, yes you can throw the ball but what's it matter if you throw 4 INT's and lose the game.
He's learnt nothing, fuckin clueless.

Yeah, I just read that. If it's true ( that he was always in agreement during personnel meetings) it's consistent with what most people thought about Rex, almost too agreeable when it comes to being a team player. There are worse qualities but someone has to pay for these personnel decisions.

Let's hope it's true.
If it happens, I'm not sure whether I should be ashamed of Woody for not moving on from Rex's failure soon enough, for be proud that he's moving on so quickly from Idzik's failure.

Gonna miss the old days of fat rex... not so much skinny and depressed rex. Good riddance to Idzik. Talk about a guy in over his head.

Its Christmas so I really don't want to talk about people losing their jobs but I was one of the people that believed Rex always played a significant roll in personnel. Tanny relied heavily on his coaches and scouts and my guess is Idzik did too given that they were both from the "business side" of football. Just confirms that we need a proper blow up. Should have gotten it two years ago.
Only issue is that I think the scouts are usually held over for one year b.c it is simply too much for a new GM to catch up with and fill those positions.

Exactly, no one can deny Idzik catered to Rex on defensive prospects as did Tanny, the man has had backing from both GM's... Milliner Sheldon Pryor Coples Mo Wilson Dont tell me Rex never had his weight well behind these picks.

Another "new era" is upon us.
Can't wait until the cycle repeats again in 5-6 years.

Good times!
