I've been talking up Mixon for weeks now. He might be a good value pick in round 3 if the Jets don't go RB early. Some character concerns, but very talented.

Oh, and anyone see Lenny Fournette last night? Man among boys.

Tons of depth and quality at RB in this upcoming draft. You would really have to call into question Macs sanity if the Jets ignore the RB position in the draft again.

There are plenty of 30 year old RBs who will be free agents next season. DeAngelo Williams, Arian Foster, Reggie Bush, maybe even Chris Johnson (part 2). Why waste a pick on a potential young stud who can carry the load for 4 or 5 years on a rookie contract when you can overpay an aging veteran who is past his prime.

Not drafting some RBs next year should be a fireable offense. You could blindly throw darts at a board and come up with a couple starting RBs in next year's draft.

Oh, and anyone see Lenny Fournette last night? Man among boys. I love Dalvin Cook, but Fournette is on another level. I prefer Fournette over Zeke Elliott and Gurley.

Oh, and anyone see Lenny Fournette last night? Man among boys. Yep If Elliott is worth a Top 5 pick, then Fournette sure as hell is too. Closest thing to AP since AP. If we're picking Top 5 (and it certainly looks like we will be) then give me Fournette if we can't land Garrett.

Kinda like when we had 0 depth at WR and missed on everyone? I still standby Cook >> Fournette

So glad this is the last match up against him.

I don't know which is worse right now. Watching Georgia on Saturdays or the Jets on Sundays. The incompetence of the offense is just ridiculous. Cannot run block. Cannot pass block. Nick Chubb is totally wasted behind that line. He has like 300 yards in his last 6 games and cannot do anything against a good defense. And Eason is looking awful -- maybe another Hackenberg. Looks the part, but poor pocket presence, no accuracy and consistently throws to covered receivers when a guy is open elsewhere. Although he is too inaccurate to hit open receivers anyway. Brutal.
Our defense has given up 450 yards total in the last 2 games -- both losses.

I feel like if you gave Cook the ball 25-28 times a game (at the NFL level) you'd almost never lose. Smooth/explosive - hard combo to find. He's a natural. The Antonio Brown of running backs.

OK. I will take back everything I said about Cook seeming a step slow early in the season. He looks to be back on top of his game. Great patience, vision and explosion to get the corner on that TD run.
