I'm a little late to the party on this thread. Honestly, I don't even want to wait for the draft to address edge rusher, I hope we address it in free agency. I have t looked at who the potential FA edge rushers are yet, but I'm not paying open market free agent money to pass rushers. They all get vastly over paid and then what? Seems like you never get a good return on your investment. Oh, like Wilkerson? . Honestly, I wish the staff would just put Mauldin and Jenkins on the edge and let us see what they have. We should not have to rely on superior talent on the edge when you have Mo and Leo coming up the middle on passing downs.

If I am Macc, if I can get at least a 2nd round pick for Sheldon, then I move him by the deadline (similar to return Pats got for Chandler Jones). This team needs to start to build through the draft, and that means using resources to acquire additional picks. If I can't get a 2 for Sheldon, then I release Jarvis Jenkins in season and look to deal Sheldon in the offseason Based upon projections I have seen, as of now we are expected to be locked out of comp picks in 2017, having signed and lost 3 qualifying free agents. Jenkins is one of those 3. If we release him by the deadline, I believe it nets us a 4th round comp pick for Snacks. Seems to me that "trading" Jarvis Jenkins for a 4th is a no brainer. And if we keep Sheldon, then I agree that he needs to be part of the DL rotation and they should stop this nonsense of him as an OLB. As it stands, we are down to 6 picks in upcoming draft (that Brandon Shell trade is looking great right now). Gotta acquire more picks and commit to a rebuild.

Was at the USC - Arizona game yesterday. Hadn't seen much PAC 12 football this year, but Juju Smith Schuster is a freaking beast. Biggest reason that game was a blowout was Smith-Schuster. Sam Darnold just throwing up 50-50 balls and letting him make the play. And once he got the ball in his hands he was a YAC machine.
Left the game in the 3rd quarter with an injury though. Haven't seen if it was serious. Wasn't much of a game, but Juju was worth the price of admission. Made it worth braving the near 100 degree temp in Tucson.

This thread just became a little more pertinent. Even more pertinent now.

The way this year has shaken out, Mike Williams is back in the mix as an option. I don't know if we can count on a healthy Decker moving forward, Devin Smith has been as useless as my snipped testicles and Marshall is approaching the cliff. After a wild start, Enunwa has been relatively quiet.
? Decker Smith Marshall (age & and not wanting to play for a rebuild)
Potential to bloom Enunwa Anderson Peake
Personally, I'd prefer to once and for all - draft our OWN Green/Jones/Bryant

I fully expect us to win at least 3-4 more games and end up picking in the 10-12 area. In that case, guys like Garrett, Fournette, etc are goners. I would hope we would pass on the QB's and take someone like Williams, Cook, Peppers or Barnett.

Think he is in the equation somewhere in the teens, or is that too early for him. There has been so much talk about us not taking a WR in the first since Santana Moss, but do you realize our last first round RB was Blair Thomas in 1990. 26 fucking years. WR or RB in the first, please. Should be some quality options whereber we pick.

That for fumble against the Bears the beginning of the end. _

He's extremely versatile being able to run inside and out, catch the ball out of the backfield, line up in the slot, and return kickoffs and punts. He reminds me a lot of Sproles, honestly.

Count me out. Not in the top 15... I don't think it's fair to call him a gadget player or role player -- but he's not an elite talent at the position. He'll always be a better college player than NFL, I'll wager. To get your bang for your buck with C.M - you're gonna have to manufacture touches... which is fine in the first half -- but when the game goes sideways and you have to adjust, I need a Gurley, a Fournette, a Cook, Elliot etc in my backfield. He's not that.

Having a very good RB and OL are incredibly helpful to a young QB, just look at Dallas.

I'll take Mitch Trubisky please. I don't care how many picks it takes to trade up and get him.
