Finally got to watch some tape tonight. Here are some guys I like. Tyler Orlosky, C, WVU Budda Baker, S/NCB, UW Damontae Kazee, CB, SDSU Marquez White, CB, FSU Nate Gerry, S, NEB Quincy Wilson, CB, UF Forrest Lamp, OT/OG, WKU Pat Eflin, C/OG, OSU Dan Feeney, OG, IU Marlon Humphrey, CB, BAMA Any true LT prospects? This LT class is really weak. Lamp might be able to play LT at the next level. He held his own again Bama. Also even though Mike Mcglinchey said he's staying I think there is a good chance he comes out. He's graduating this year so there really is no reason to go back. Last year Will Fuller also said he was returning to ND and then opted for the draft.

Shit, I think the last RB we took in the top 3 rounds is Shonn Greene and that was in 2009. Having a very good RB and OL are incredibly helpful to a young QB, just look at Dallas. If we trade Richardson for a 2nd or 3rd I wouldn't mind double dipping in this RB class. Dalvin Cook and D'Onta Foreman would be a dirty duo for the next 4-5 years.

Foreman is a monster, I've watched a few Texas games this year and he is the only viable offensive weapon on that team and he is still extremely productive. I know it's the Big12 and no one really plays defense, but everyone knows he is getting the ball and still runs through everyone. A Cook/Foreman combo would be nice.

I'm surprised at how fast he is for a 240 lb RB. He's taken a few 40-60 yard runs to the house.

I'll take Mitch Trubisky please. I don't care how many picks it takes to trade up and get him. May be a bit of a reach putting Mitch in the top 5 or so of this draft but, I wouldn't be shocked if someone took him there. Only one year of starting experience scares me with this kid. I really don't see any QBs worthy of such a high pick this year but the end of round one and the top of round 2 is a good landing spot. UNC plays Duke tonight on ESPN. That could be a good watch.

Huge reach as well. Probably a 3rd or 4th round guy.

UNC plays Duke tonight on ESPN. That could be a good watch. So, you are not going to watch Ravens - Browns in another compelling Thursday Night NFL matchup. And Goodell wonders why ratings are down, they should leave Thursdays to the NCAA.

There were some great match ups when they had the night to themselves.

I didn't get a chance to watch the game but I saw the ending, which was not good for him. I still like him a lot though. His one really bad game was in hurricane conditions against Virginia Tech and there were a lot of dropped balls. If Petty doesn't work out, I still feel as if we have to be aggressive about drafting a QB early when the best are available. Some times you have to ignore best player available when drafting a QB, because a very good QB is worth so much more than any other position. It is too bad that he doesn't have more seasons with which to evaluate him, but that also offers the opportunity to get a deal.

That's how you end up with the Blaine Gabberts and Jake Lockers of the world. It's also the same line of thinking that produced Christian Hackenberg this year. Now I am far from a firm and true believer of the BPA theory, because need always factors into draft decisions, but taking a guy a round or two early just because he is a QB is a recipe for failure.

This thread just became a little more pertinent. Even more pertinent now. Perhaps the most important thread on this whole damn site.

The thing is, mock drafts have him going in the top five. He looks good on tape, but I am no expert. But then again, are there any QB experts when it comes to the draft. I can't think of any GM who has hit on two stud QBs intentionally (Tom Brady was an accident). Anyway, I have no conviction on the other QBs in the draft, but I like this one. Call me crazy, but I rather take a chance to be competitive for the next 15 years, then to have a great skill player who his fun to watch, but doesn't get us over the QB hole. I want to go for broke. We suck anyway.

He's already polished with great feet and strength and excels at second level blocks...also has a nasty streak. From that one video, I'm a huge fan but I'll dig deeper in the coming months. It's also nice too see him do that against a team like Bama.
