I watched the Luke Falk 2016 tape on draft breakdown (they only have one game).
Pros: Decent height, very good at going through his progressions and scanning the field, accurate and throws with touch, quick and easy release.
Cons: Average athlete, didn't attempt many difficult throws, so it was hard to get a read on his arm talent.

Let me know what you think of Falk and be brutally honest. I'll watch him after Dalvin Cook finishes shredding Florida. He's a different back since the first game of the season. He sure would look good in green and white.

Anyone else have an opinion of Falk? The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Anyone else have an opinion of Falk? The good, the bad, and the ugly. I also watched the same DraftBreakdown clip that Maury referenced. Anyone else see a bit of Chad Pennington in Falk. Not the biggest arm, but he makes up for it with accuracy, ball placement & touch -- kind of like Chad. Pre-injury Chad. Or am I out of my mind?

I don't agree because I've seen him make all of the throws. I absolutely agree he doesn't have a + arm but he's still young and should gain more velocity as he fills into his body. He can easily put on another 10 lbs.

He doesn't have a cannon but he can definitely make all the throws. They actually look pretty effort less which is why it might seem like he's lacking arm strength. One negative thing I've noticed is he tends to sail the ball on intermediate routes across the middle. It doesn't worry me too much though.

Only watched the one tape of Falk and bits of a game last week, so I may be underestimating his arm strength (and maybe remembering 2002 Pennington a little too fondly, which should be understandable considering what we have seen under center for the past decade). I really like the way Falk hits receivers in stride on some of the shorter throws, maximizing the chance for YAC, and most of the deep throws I have seen, he puts quite a bit of air under the ball, but it drops right where the receiver needs it. I have not seen him drive a lot of balls deep. I really was looking forward to seeing yesterday's game against Washington to see how he handled those WA CBs.

That and accuracy is more important than top end velocity IMO. You can put on a few more MPH once he gets in an NFL camp and training program. If you are Maccagnan, do you use another high draft pick on a QB?

Both of these Florida CBs look like studs, its a heck of a CB class in 2017.

We're in agreement and I like your assessment....spot on. In the last two games I've never seen him drive the ball either but like you mentioned, he'll float in a beauty of a 40 yarder. It's there and will only improve when he gets stronger.

I'm hoping the amount of talent at CB pushes some good ones to the 2nd and 3rd round. Imagine taking Dalvin Cook or Mike McGlinchey in round 1 and then grabbing Sidney Jones and Marquez White in rounds 2 and 3.

If you are Maccagnan, do you use another high draft pick on a QB? Here sure as hell should but since we're the Jets we'll pass on them because we're developing Hackenberg. A QB that can't even throw a screen pass.

You can put on a few more MPH once he gets in an NFL camp and training program. So where do you see him being drafted? I've never gone out on a limb for a QB prospect since Vince Young although in my defense I talked up Wentz last year.
