Snow still around and the trade deadline still looming, I'm still nervous. And DW as interim coach? Really not much of an upgrade I'd say. As long as DW is the interim coach -- I don't have a problem with it. I would not want Garth to play any role in selecting a new coach. He should be the next one out the door -- this season has had as much, if not more, to do with Snow's off-season moves, his inabiility to find a wing to pair with JT, despite a number of top 10 picks over the years, and the 3-goalie fiasco as it has to do with Cappy. |

I'll tell you this, the last person I want making moves at the deadline is Snow.
And my meh for Weight interim is that he'll probably play the same system, and coach exactly like Cappy. I don't think we'll get a chance to see how Nelson, stroke, Bailey, et al, perform under a new coach/system.

I have no problem with Weight as interim because this was always going to be the case if Cappy got fired. The plan, or so it seemed, was to start fresh next year. New GM, new coach, hell we even have new owners who finally have power. Now if they keep Snow aboard and don't blow this thing up and retain him next year, I'm done. |

islesmb , what do you make of all this?! I seriously doubt Botta knows whats going on but I guess it's possible. Cappy should've been axed earlier when there was more time to salvage the season. Hopefully Ledecky will clean house after the season. |
