Unfinished business became finished business as the Mets, and in particular us fans, were given the business last night.
And the worst part of it all?
We won't have Mets Playoff baseball to keep our focus away from the fucking Jets.
Thank goodness NJ Devils/NY Rangers(throwing a bone for those who are Ranger fans here) hockey is just about here.

I don't mind the loss much since the Mets devastated starting pitching would be creamed by the Cubs....
But, really, who the fuck came up with the strategy to be aggressive and try to hit Bumgarner early in the count? So, you've got a better bullpen than Frisco and you decide the strategy is to "hit" the best playoff pitcher in baseball, rather than elevate his pitch count so you can get into the Giants bullpen. And did Collins come up with this strategy before he decided to leave Duda off the roster? If the strategy is to take your hacks, wtf is one of your prime hackers doing on the inactive list. What an asshole. Please Retire, please.

Two months ago, we weren't even in the playoff conversation. I'm amazed they even made it this far.
Mets will come back strong in 2017. Everyone will be fully healthy. We have too much depth and talent not to go deep in the playoffs next season.

But, really, who the fuck came up with the strategy to be aggressive and try to hit Bumgarner early in the count? This is the part that was baffling to me. This game was lost in the first three innings. 21 pitches. At that point, you knew the only way we were going to get into the Giants bullpen was if the game would go 10. We had some solid at bats in the middle innings. Worked counts, fouled some pitches off, got some base runners on base. But not enough of that consistently throughout the game. Hard for me to be too upset though. What a great run over the last 6 weeks, led by kids like Gsellman, Lugo & Rivera. One game playoff and you lose becasue their great pitcher was just a little bit better than your great pitcher. OK, maybe not better, but lasted longer. Thats baseball. At least there is the Jets Islanders.

Still don't know why they didnt at least try to lay a bunt down with Bruce after Riveras lead off double.
Why wouldnt you play for 1 run at home?
Do not understand/
