The cartels will be a lot easier to fight than the Viet Cong. They exist because they are allowed to exist by corrupt politicians and law enforcement.
And who said bomb a country for no reason? If we were to be attacked it is within our rights to defend ourselves and eliminate out attackers. So if the cartel does blow up the wall it is well within our rights to have a few drones visit them.
And what country is going to hurt us economically? They can try but in the long run they would be hurting themselves much more. I hate to break it to you multi-national globalists but America is exceptional. Despite the best efforts of the left, and frankly some on the right, we are still top dog. People risk their lives trying to get to this country for a reason. They may use Mexico as a highway but that aint their destination.

So, the answer that seems to be given to my question is bomb a sovereign country (in violation of numerous international laws), then tell Mexico to pay for the rebuilding of the wall, as well as any collateral damage that may take place. Yeah, that should work. I'm sure that every ally will be on board with that one. And please, save me the "I don't care what our allies think" speech. While we can retaliate against countries economically, they can retaliate against us as well. I don't care what our allies think. Honestly we have only a handful of true allies in the world anyway. And only one them I would ever concern myself about offending and that is the UK. |

Just a quick question. Let's assume the wall gets built. A big, glorious wall. Afterwards, Mexican drug lords are pissed off. They decide to set explosive charges on the Mexican side of the wall, causing significant portions of the wall to collapse. Who pays for the rebuilding of the wall? we do..... and then we take it from the "AID" we send Mexico. Fukk them..why are you so against enforcing laws already on the books? I'm all for enforcing laws. That includes international law....something which bombing would violate. By the way.....Mexico currently spends a crap load of money in anti-terrorism post 9/11 efforts. Something that helps to keep us all safe. How about they retaliate by not paying for these efforts going forward? |

You don't care about alliances with other NATO partners? You know, other countries that have provided coalition forces in the the Middle East wars? Other countries that just because of location, have immense strategic importance? Take a very close look at a map. Let's use Sweden as an example. Notice where Russia is in relation to Sweden. The peso drops like a rock every time Trump says something bad about Mexico. Nieto has a 12% approval rating. There are protests and rioting in Mexico right now over skyrocketing fuel costs. |

Germany alone underfunded their contributions by almost 70 billion dollars last year, that's just one country. Our vets and active duty personnel have to wait months to see a Dr but if you're on Medicaid you get seen right away. Americas priorities are so fucked up right now. You know why Europe can pay for all their social programs?Partly because the USA picks up the tab for them. Freedom isn't free. If they don't want to pay their fair share then fuck them, let them deal with the consequences. |
