Penn St EP Garrett Sickels declared for the #NFLDraft. 35 gms, 94 tackles, 21.5 TFL, 11.5 sacks, PD, 2 FR, FF. Listed at 6'4",249. What the hell is an EP? He's a DE.

Malik Hooker just declared Another name to throw into the mix at #6 Finally watched his games against Clemson, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma. He is very talented, but probably the most frustrating prospect I've watched so far. He's extremely talented and makes 1 or 2 flashy plays every game. Then sucks the rest of the time. He takes some of the worst angles I've ever seen and whiffs on a ton of tackles. We would have the worst tackling safeties between him and Pryor. No way I take him at 6. Definitely not Ed Reed. He could maybe develop into Kerry Rhodes. A nice ball hawking safety that sometimes makes a nice tackle, but usually hits like a bag of vaginas.

I'll take Jamal Adams everyday of the week over Hooker. Hooker at 6 is a massive reach. Adams is a complete safety, he can cover like a corner, play the run like a LB and has great size at 6'1".

While it is tough to watch the tape of a safety who is out of the picture a lot, but I am seeing a lot of what you mention. He makes some plays and flashed at times, but not a lot of consistency in his game and a lot of bad angles.

He is talented and has good range and size, but if the discussion is taking at him at 6 overall then I simply can not get on board with that. Not with a guy like Adams available. If you are taking a safety in the first round, let alone the top 10, he better be well rounded and an all around player. I beleive that the dominant safety is more valuable than a dominant corner, a great safety makes your secondary so much better than a great corner. IMO Adams can be that type of player.

Trubisky declared, bad move for that kid. He desperately needs another year in college but in a poor QB class better to come out this year than next I guess.

Even worse for him when you consider he could end up here. I have seen a couple of Mocks where he goes to the Browns with their second 1st rounder. I hope we pass on him. Sanchez 2.0 in my opinion. Needed to stay in Chapel Hill.

I'll lose my mind if we take a 3rd "project" Quarterback. It makes zero sense in this Draft. This is not a QB Draft.
I would try to trade back from #6 to the 10-15 area and work to accumulate 2018 draft picks. We might be able to get something like a 6th this year and a 1st or 2nd next year. The Jets need to stockpile ammo for WHEN there's a worthwhile QB.
