I think anyone who thinks that Lamar Jackson is a franchise QB at the next level is kidding themselves. Great athlete and college QB, but I wouldn't want him. I'd probably have Rosen, Darnold and Falk ranked ahead of him. At least. I'm still in the "lamar has it" department. I haven't seen enough of UL over the last stretch of games to properly assess what's been going wrong, but he definitely showed awareness, pocket presence and touch on his passes. The groceries are there. |

The more bowl games I've watched, the more I'm convinced that basically all QBs coming out of college anymore are going to closer to a project than NFL ready.

Budda Baker is a stud. Him and Sidney Jones would transform our back end. He might be my favorite for our 2nd round pick right now. Fournette in the 1st, then take Baker in Round 2 and a corner or edge rusher in the 3rd. Use FA to sign a stopgap LT like Whitworth/Reiff and either re-sign Winters to a modest contract or like Paradis said, go after a guy like Ron Leary. Let Shell and Qvale fight it out for the starting job at RT. Maybe throw a mid-round rookie into the mix. That would be my plan |
