Isn't this what Fitz specialized in this season? Fitz is the Pumpkin from Cinderella. He looks good for a bit and then turns into what we saw this year. I would have told him here is a 1 year 5 million dollar deal or fuck off and do TV. And so many of us on this site knew exactly what to expect, but at least that is part of our history now -- Fitz takes his place in the Jets history book right alongside Neil O'Donnell as bad overpaid veteran QB signings.

It's so frustrating as a fan to realize this and our management chooses to ignore it. Yes parady in the NFL is big, but there is no quick fix. I wish more GMs would realize "Hey, I just got hired. We could suck for 2 years, and I won't get fired." Then make a push to compete after drafting well. Too many of them are looking for a quick fix. We're at least 2-3 years off from making the playoffs and that's if everything goes perfectly.

Actually he broke almost every single season passing record. Marshall and Decker are the only reason he broke records. It also shows how shitty our QBs have been. An inaccurate journeyman waltzed in and broke records. It's pathetic.

Now he counts 5 mil on our cap next year.....the gift that keeps on giving. Career fucking loser.

I am just hoping that after the failure of this "competitive rebuild" we are finally ready to commit to it the right way, even if that means another one or two lean years. If I am going to watch a 4 win team, I would rather watch a team of young guys, playing their asses off and trying to get better than a bunch of disinterested, entitled over paid veterans like we did this year.

Bingo, build a sustainable winner which is what Mac said from the beginning. Only problem is words are cheap and actions speaks volumes.

I've seen 4-12 a few times. None of those seasons we're as bad as this one. We just sucked those years, but nobody quit. This year really turned me off to the Jets. I use to always go out of my way to watch our games, but if I miss a quarter or a half this year I didn't give a shit. Why should I if the players didn't?

You don't think he's building a strong team ? Nope. He still has time to change that but what positions are we better at since he's taken over? We have all the same needs plus some.

This Mcsorley is magic. Or USCs defense stinks. Or both.

We're already going into year 3 and he wasted his first two signing overpriced vets, and trading picks for players that will more than likely be gone next year.

And this (potentially) is why I never criticize a kid if he decides to skip a Bowl game. Hopefully he is okay.

You don't think he's building a strong team ? Nope. He still has time to change that but what positions are we better at since he's taken over? We have all the same needs plus some. In 2 years we have had 1 top 10 pick and we came away with the best player in that draft . Since he got here, we have Depth at WR, we have young talent at RT and I think we have quality Depth at the TE position . We replace a stud NT with a young kid who's developing nicely
Our Problem is, we haven't address the 3 top Premium position that I consider premium on a football team . QB, LT and Pass rusher . IMO, one of these will be address this draft and maybe 2 if we get lucky .
We had talent along the Dline, but the talent was tainted . The drafting of Williams eased some of the worry IMO, but there's work still left to be done. It takes time to build a team, and while you're building it, if you don't win enough or show enough promise, you get fired . I like the youngsters we have added, now all we have to do is hit on some premium positions and we will be oK . The big issue will be Hackenberg .
