Why bother having insurance companies at all if everyone gets everything for free? Just make medical care free and fuck letting some insurance company profit. Where the fuck did this "I want everything for free" shit start. Washington Circa 2008 Philadelphia- 1776

If college is free for everyone, then wouldn't a college education become almost irrelevant? You still need to learn the material and pass the classes to earn the degree right?

I hope you don't actually believe that.

Haven't you heard the snowflakes complaining that there shouldn't be grades because it hurts their self esteem?

Personally I think the Federal government is involved in way too much, but ironically if I was building a country from scratch the first and second things on a very short list of what the government should do would be healthcare and college education. I'm a fan of the Australian two system model. You can get your government run healthcare paid for by tax dollars, or buy insurance/pay out of your pocket to treat with a privately owned healthcare provider. The competition from the government keeps market prices from going through the roof. But, everyone knows private healthcare is better. I'd skip the college thing. 50% of college students don't belong there. And if college is THAT important to find employment...perhaps students should be better educated in high school. I work in a department where my one supervisor went to Cornell, the other to Michigan and my co-worker went to Fordham. Yesterday...Cornell guy asked me what M&O stood for in the general ledger for a project we operate, Michigan guy couldn't understand why the operating performa would run in the red if expenses increased 3% a year and income 2%. And I had to show Fordham chick...again...how to use the percent function on a calculator. Glad my 9th grade education is really paying off...lol Just because you graduate college doesn't mean you are smart. Those that don't attend can build the bridges, roads, and the Wall oh wait no can do our society has made young men into females, they can sew that's it textiles is the answer.

Soooooo Obama should have revealed all...but Trump shouldn't. GOP House and GOP Congress...they can pass what they want...who cares about the media? I'm just happy he's promised healthcare for all. Sounds great to me. Then Obama should have worked with Republicans in Congress to come up with a bill that everyone could live with. That's funny. They announced the day he won the election they wouldn't support a single thing he wanted.

They announced the day he won the election they wouldn't support a single thing he wanted. Plenty of blame on both sides of the aisle. It seems like it has been this way since Bill Clinton's second term was marred by a sperm-tainted dress. The GOP stopped "dealing" with him figuring the next POTUS would be from their party. Then when Bush was (barely) elected the Dems figured he was a one-termer and they refused to work with him. --There was, however, a pause in the hostility to start a war with a country (Iraq) that never attacked us.-- Then Bush won (barely) again, and the Dems decided to wait him out because the next POTUS was sure to a Dem, and they were right. Then the GOP gave it to the Dems as good as they got it. The whole thing is extraordinarily childish. I'm hoping that the silliness can end since Trump is a Dem who ran as a GOP.

Are there exceptions? of course but excuse it all you want, college is important. You learn a lot of shit that makes life more interesting in my view.

Im a big fan of Mike Rowe and I can tell you if I didnt make a kings ranson as a financial pro.. Id make a kings ransom as an electrician. Id focus, show up on time, do great work and make the customer happy and they would pay a small premium for that. You and I had this discussion. I have 2 plumbers as clients. 1 makes 80K, the other 200K. They both are solo but one wont work past 5pm or on Saturday. BUT... the average person, in average circumstances will earn more with a degree. Google it.. EVERY study shows it.
