Finally watched Warzone the other night. As cheesy as it is, I appreciated Ray Stevenson's portrayal as the Punisher; calm, methodical, and devastating. This guy? With all the crazed yelling? Really trying hard to move past it. Seriously.

Really trying hard to move past it. Seriously. Don't think you'll see that in this series Bernthal has said in multiple interviews that the Punisher from Daredevil wasn't really the Punisher yet. He was just running around with a death wish immediately following the deaths of his wife and kids. Now it's just business

The summary of the footage shown at ComicCon last month sounds like vintage Frank Castle and definitely has me excited for it.

I consider the first movie one of the best comedies of the last 15-20 years. I'll check it out.

Going to see 'It' later on
Reviews are great so far and good horror movies are about as rare as fucking unicorns these days.
Rewatched the original mini-series about a week ago and it hasn't aged well. Basically sucks ass besides Tim Curry as Pennywise.

Saw the 'It' remake
It was pretty good, but I think they really went overboard with the CGI in places where it wasn't even necessary. I yearn like hell for the days of practical effects and gurus like Tom Savini, Stan Winston and Rob Bottin.
The interactions amongst the kids in the Losers Club are great, but there are some big editing and pacing problems. You'll see a scene with Pennywise that is genuinely pretty damn scary but then it immediately cuts to a lighthearted, jokey scene.
It's a better adaptation than the 1990 TV miniseries...but I think I still prefer the miniseries simply because of Tim Curry.
Skarsgard is good in the role, but Curry was just perfect.

Sorry man, but it looks like they did exactly what I said they would. Cue metal soundtrack, lots o' shooting, rage scream, conspiracy plotline. This is like 90s era comic movie crap. It's real simple. Guy's family caught in wrong place at wrong time, victims of random violence. Only way to combat is systematic elimination of all possible variables. This? This is goofy.

Agreed on the conspiracy plot line regarding the deaths of his family. Just have his family killed by random gangsters. That's how it's always been. But I love everything else about it. The use of Metallica's "One" was pretty awesome IMO. Especially with the gunfire synced up to the drums.
