Surprisingly, the new Halloween trailer doesn’t look half bad.
I’m glad they’re totally ignoring those shit sequels and making a direct follow up to the 1978 original. They even managed to get John Carpenter on board as executive producer and to produce the music and are bringing back the stuntman who played Michael Myers in the original.

Another Life on Netflix
I wanted to really like this, but the writing is lazy. The crew, except Katie Sachoff (sp? - Starbuck from BSG), is like a bunch of ahole high school kids. And they keep doing ridiculously stupid things to create episode plots

Finally got around to finishing "The Boys" on Amazon. While Urban's character has received a large portion of the buzz, IMO the Homelander character played by Antony Starr is just spot-on perfect.

Basically they took a bunch of Millennial SJW sterotypes and put them on a ship into space with a parent. The writing is lazy, the acting is bad and the science is nonexistent. I mean I am all for sending SJWs into space if they promise to not return but other than that the show is unwatchable. |

The new Rambo is awesome
Seems like everyone is trashing it because Stallone is brutally murdering the shit out of Mexicans and it isn’t “thought provoking”.
Aside from First Blood, when the hell have any of the Rambo movies ever had a message?
Reminded me a lot of a Punisher MAX story brought to life. Definitely doesn’t hold back on the violence.
I might even catch it again in the theater.

Saw the trailer for "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story" today (YouTube it yourself, fucko). Looked pretty cool. Shame Aaron Paul didn't really blow up after the show ended. He was great, but made some pretty shitty acting decisions. Heard he'll be on season three of Westworld.

Joker is fucking great
Best movie I’ve seen in recent memory. All other comic book related movies totally pale in comparison, including The Dark Knight.
Even if you don’t give two shits about comics, go see it.
I’m almost tempted to put it on the same level as Taxi Driver but I need to watch it a few more times.

And the last 5-10 mins were seriously AFU.  |

So, is this worth getting excited about or will it suck like most of the DC movies? Snyder is a one trick pony and that trick became stale years ago. I don’t understand the obsession that a lot of DC fanboys have with everything being “dark” and “brooding” like Batman. These are spandex clad superhero’s flying around and shooting laser beams out of their eyes. To take it super seriously is infinitely goofier than just embracing the silliness of it all. |
