I almost exclusively stick with the local brews out here in Albuquerque. We probably have over 50 microbreweries out here and they are all good. Maybe something with the water or the altitude.....who knows. They still have Il Vicino? I had family out there back in the 90s and they swore by this stuff. Il Vicino is alive and well with three locations now. Great beer and even better brick oven pizza.

That's the spirit. It's called personal preference. I've had Lagunitas 50 times and Torpedo just as many. Neither are "garbage" but, that's just me. Quite frankly my favorite ales are Belgian- Red Chimay at the very top. _ the red chimay is nice. You should try some gose style beers. I've had that in Germany. Very nice. To be honest, I don't drink a lot of beer anymore. Wine and booze mostly. _

Wine and booze mostly. _ wine keeps the pounds off better than beer. A readily available gose is Long Trail cranberry gose. Might also look for Victory kirsch gose. Also very good. And if you can find it, by Stillwater Artisanal - Gose Gone Wild, Tijuana. Made with smoked agave. Absolutely delicious.

I sent WCO an amazing recipe for Texas chili a while ago. Pretty sure he never thanked me and now I can't find the recipe. PM Hashtag. He'll send you a can of Hearty Man Chili. _

We've been eating like pigs the past week and a half with the graduation thing and then my sopne finally coming home.
Light dinner tonite- crostini 3 ways. Super simple.
Little baked Italian rolls that we get-no shit- from my local Shoprite. Like 5-6 inches long, pointed on both ends, basically the end crust of a really good baguette. Cut in half length wise, toasted and topped with:
Home made bruschetta. Diced Campari tomatoes, red onion (never garlic), fresh minced Basil, cracked sea salt, cracked pepper, extra virgin olive oil from the Torciano vineyard in Tuscany, a very very very very light drizzle of balsamic vinegar glaze my sopne sent me from Modena. I don't over balsamic my bruschetta.
Very ripe avocado smashed and spread like butter, French grey sea salt, cracked pepper, dried crushed Calabrian chili peppers, drizzled with the same extra virgin olive oil.
Whole milk ricotta cheese, sea salt, cracked pepper, a hint of white truffle oil and honey.
All served with a Rose from Provence out on the patio.
Light, delicious, fulfilling. It's summertime.
