It was a perfect pass. Sweet. Having said that everything he's throwing is underneath or to backs or screens or quick throws to the sideline. I'd like to see him air it out. _ He's holding on too long. It's Montana St.....his receivers should be open.

Well, it was at minimum a good read on the kid: he had little to work with and was under constant pressure. Sounds like us all the way...
Darnold has a tougher day than expected too. Will be interesting to contrast with Rosen.
Allens nect big test is Oregon ithink...

So, after week 1 Allen has clearly moved to the back of the pack. But, unless I missed someone, it does appear that the remaining candidates for the Jets #1 overall selection in the 2018 draft all performed well, even though most played against week 1 patsies. But, you only get to play the team that happens to be on your schedule that week.

Just finished catching up with Lamar Jackson's game...
Considering where he was 2 years ago - it's unbelievable... He's not just another athlete playing QB. That ball comes out on fire. It's laughable IMO that people auto-place Allen ahead of Jackson. If Rosen fails to put it together in his campaign this year - it's going to be a Darnold/Jackson duel

I just watched Allen's game against Iowa yesterday and it was not where near as bad as the scoreboard scouts are making it out to be. His picks came when the game was out of hand already and his receivers dropped a bunch of passes, including a beautiful 40 yard TD.
One thing that worried me about Allen was his arm strength didn't look as strong as it did yesterday. I wonder if he is playing injured.

Any given Sunday literally Josh Rosen is going to be a superstar.

Well, rd 1 def goes to Rosen. Threw his receivers open the whole second half and showed nerves of steel, even after getting beat down physically for a half.
Color me impressed.

Well Luke Falk was 33-39 for 300+ yards and 3 TDs.
Too many short passes and underneath stuff and 2 of his TD passes were shovel passes.
But still, 84% comp and hit 20 of his first 20 passes.
Super accurate.

His first half was troubling. 9-23 114 yards YIKES. Those are Fitzsucksit type of numbers. I know what he did in the second half. Could the D have gotten comfortable thinking they had the game? I need to see more from him.

I need to see more from him. Several of those incompletions were him throwing the ball away as he was under constant pressure and his receivers struggled with separation in first half. Diff in second half was that he didnt rely on them being open and started throwing them open and looking off defenders with fakes and eyes. Was really impressive, he was in real command of game and unfazed by how overmatched physically his team was for three qtrs.
