What requirements have changed? If you had a pre existing condition that wouldn't allow you to fulfill your commitment then you couldn't enlist. Being trans is a pre existing condition right? So Obama just carved out an exception to cater to the T's. Now if you want to talk about post op trans people enlisting it's a different conversation, but that's not the one we are having. No it is not a "pre-existing condition", as applies elsewhere. Try again What the fuck does that mean? Why are trans people special? They are having the same rules applied to them as anyone else by the military. A situation arises where they can't do the job and they get kicked out, just like everybody else. |

They don't need to be refined, these people need to be kicked out. They can't do the job they signed up to do. It happens all the time in the military. Why are trans people special? Because they face long odds in society? Half commit suicide, or attempt it. I think the Army is willing to help trans IF they can bring a skill set that is valued. Right now, help = surgeries; hormones; therapists. They will have to refine this process. So now the military should recruit from a pool where half the candidates are suicidal. LOl no, im not in favor of giving these people weapons. Its not a jobs program. |
