Didn't see a thread so I ll do it...
Some may not agree with Bing, and that's ok.
I feel the players have the right of course to voice their opinions. It's American to do so.
When they are in Uniform representing their team and communities, during our Nation's Anthem, they should stand. It's not the time or place.
Fans aren't paying to go to a Protest.
Many will say that the Players can do it whenever they wish. That's their right.
Stand during our Countries National Anthem. Protest after hours, but not when in football attire.
The President is great at fanning the flames of controversy. It's sad to me.
Football always to me was a welcome distraction from real life..taxes, wives, bills, work , etc.
Yesterday made Bing sad. Not just because the Jets won, hurting the team in the long run.
The NFL may have lost a lot of fans yesterday that they won't soon get back.
Thoughts?

As usual trump is getting in the way of a real argument... blacks folks can't control their youth... Oh boy.....here we go...not the feed back I was hoping for, but... LOL. What were you expecting. Here is what I will say. A ton of misinformation about this topic was spread on National TV yesterday. You can absolutely be fired for what they did. 1st Amendment protects you from being imprisoned by the government. Doesn't protect you from being fired from your employer. Sadly, we have lost a lot of our distractions. There is no way to disengage anymore. Can barely watch movies and TV shows that dont have propaganda. Frankly, I think its very unhealthy. I wont be watching the games for the rest of the season. If we dont get a QB in the draft I might not watch next year. I love the NFL but right now it just isnt worth watching for me. And the on-the-field product getting worse over the years has about as much to do with it as the National Anthem stuff.

I feel sad for my American friends. Everyone entrenched in their beliefs...
This will get worse before it gets better.
Edit: Not giving lessons, we have our own problems.

i think i'm done watching games for this year
sports is where to get away from the bullshit, not get it rubbed in your face
espn has become msnbcspn, lookatme nfl jerkoffs spend more time working on their poses and celebrations than working on the fundamentals like tackling
the supposed "class" organization of the nfl, the giants, saw their first round draft pick celebrate his first career touchdown by grabbing his balls -- TO THE HOME CROWD MIND YOU -- and yesterday their "biggest star" mimicked a fucking dog peeing in the end zone
fuck this shit, my hard earned money and my limited free time will be spent doing something else

Lets get one point straight. This is not a free speech issue. The players are on the clock. Their employer has every right to require that they stand for the Anthem. The first amendment only applies government regulating speech. A private employers has the lawful right to regulate your speech and activities while you are working and can even fire you if they don't like your free speech activities conducted while off the clock.
So, this has nothing to do with free speech.

Trumps dumb The players are dumb The media is dumb Everything is dumb As to Trump, all those deplorables who voted for him, just about every family with someone in the military, and a lot of other people who didn't vote for him agree with him on this issue. While he handled it in his usual ham-handed offensive manner, the fact is this is another instance where the only people he has offended are those that were never going to vote for him anyway.

All this talk about him needing to unify. You can't unify when the only thing your opposition will accept is removal from office.

I hear you. I don't even necessarily disagree with him. But it was dumb for him to comment on it at all...this whole stupid kneeling thing seemed to be dying down... He needs to let some stuff go.

I completely agree. He seems willing to hurt himself just to inflict wounds on his opponents. But did he really hurt himself with his comments? The media, twitter, celebrities, etc all hated him already. And people already hated the kneeling bullshit. I think this is one of those issues where there is no common ground or understanding to come to. You're either for or against. There have been many things in the past where I have wondered what the fuck is he thinking. But the crazy fuck threaded a needle I dont think anybody else could have. And I dont think that happened by mistake. We'll see how it all shakes out.
