Trumps dumb The players are dumb The media is dumb Everything is dumb As to Trump, all those deplorables who voted for him, just about every family with someone in the military, and a lot of other people who didn't vote for him agree with him on this issue. While he handled it in his usual ham-handed offensive manner, the fact is this is another instance where the only people he has offended are those that were never going to vote for him anyway. Half the fans in the stands at every game are sitting when the anthem is played. are they a disgrace to America? How about the ones texting or buying hot dogs or taking a leak? How about you people at home? Are you all standing in your living rooms with your hands on your hearts? Know where everybody DID stand when the anthem was played? Nazi Germany. I bet they do a lot of standing in North Korea too. Fair enough...please explain the horrific injustices they are taking a knee for. Simple enough. Back it up with stats, historical context etc. Thanks. From what I can tell, very few were protesting until President Birdbrain tweeted the very UnAmerican statement that exercising free speech should be cause for being fired from your job. What some of the players were originally protesting is immaterial to me. I don't have to agree with them and probably don't. You have a right to be wrong in this country. That's kind of the point. My position is and will always be in defense of free speech, which seems these days to be equally under assault from both the left and the right. |
