Pete's demo version is actually better than The Who's. Agreed. Unearthed this one after Pat died recently. Great tune by the Smithereens, though oddly, the bass-line, which really drives the tune... seems invisible in the Youtubes versions of this. Weird. |

Poor Syd.....that Crazy Diamond. I'm not a Tim McGraw fan though I loved his dad Tug when he was a Met pitcher back in the day..(What kid, even a Yankee fan.. could resist a smiling dude named tug?). My wife turned me on to this one, and maybe because my kids are 11 and 20 this one blind-sided me and I still cant hear it without watering up a little bit. |
