Too soon to play a "hit" rather than their better stuff. It's not Ramblin' Man for crissakes. Great version. Sucks they are no more. _ March isn't what is used to be without them.

Dang I went to that concert about 6 years running. Love The Beacon. I remember one of the years that they kicked Dickie out, Greg brought his kid with Cher, Elijah Blue out to play the solo on Elizabeth Reed. He was awesome. Pretty sure Betts taught him. _

Yeah you just wait You stick around You'll figure it out _ Jack White is phenomenally under-appreciated as a musician and songwriter. Guy can flat out play. Listening to that tune, you can hear the influences of Robert Johnson, Lead Belly, Blind Joe Reynolds, Chuck Berry, Jimi, Page and so many others. White has the unique ability to channel so many influences and spin them into his own vibe. Just an incredible talent.

Speaking of Blind Joe Reynolds, here's one of my all time favorite blues shuffles to play. What a classic. I'll also include Cream's version for a modern interpretation.

Love the Sing a Simple Song riff at about 3:20 _ They sound a bit like a poor man's Deep Purple Mark I with Rod Evans. Speaking of Evans, you ever heard his great band after the Purple gig, Captain Beyond?

The Illusion was some failed band from Long Island, a few albums and disappeared. But I always loved that song. _
