Man they came out of the gate ready to play and swarming... slowed a little in the 2nd, then picked it up again.
That "fourth" line.. I hate to call it that, they set the tone every night, and kept Sid in his end of the ice a lot of the game.
I never thought I would say it, but Brock Nelson became a man this season, and I thought he played great last night. He's even learned to play a little physical and mix it up. Eberle getting hot at the right time, Bailey with the game winner, just awesome.
Just keep doing what they are doing - roll four lines, keep hitting and playing good defense.

Brock in a contract year, that’s why. True. I also think Barry Trotz has some affect on him as well. While I used to say let him walk, looking at whats out there at center in free agency (Duchene, Dzingel, Hayes, Karlsson, 40 yr old Joe Thorton, 36 yr old Jason Spezza, 35 yr old Joe Pavelski), bringing Brock back might be the best move, weighing cost and production. Duchene is the only guy on this list I would take above him, solely based on having 70 points, but he's going to get paid big money by someone, and is he a fit for the Isles system? I think Id rather keep Brock and Anders, cheaper, try and sign a sniper at wing like Panarin, resign Lehner and call it a day. |

Oh, and I get the refs putting their whistles away and letting them play in the playoffs, but there were a bunch of missed calls last night, moreso against the Isles I thought. Not that we really want a lot of PP time, we're better 5 on 5 than on the PP.

Could not have played a better game on the road in game 3. Great goaltending again. Great forecheck by the best fourth line in hockey. Limiting dumb penalties to keep the Pens off the PP.

I’m on vacation, and here SD tv is the latest thing. After watching second period, it was better to listen on the radio. But damn almighty, that was a great game. Can’t believe up 3-0.
