Yes, same way I heard parents of dead soldiers under Trump, Obama, Bush (2), Clinton, Carter, Reagan Nixon, Kennedy... Old white guys make decisions that end up killing young men. Is this news? I have a family member in the service right now. Because of his role Im not allowed to know the he is. I worry for him everyday. We had over 7,000 killed there under different administrations. Of course its a fuck-up. No ones disputing that. But this is what happens when you start with a bad decision to go in, then stay 20 years. Every President says they are against forever war, but only Biden had the guts to end the longest war in American history. Oh, so now Obama is an old white guy? Is there anything you won't drag race into? Also, if I remember correctly this started when some goat fuckers attacked us. You probably forgot that too. Sorry, half white. Key word: Started. Are we going in for 20 years on every attack now? Also, I didn't know said goat-fuckers were Taliban. Remind me what country they were from again?

My company will be requiring the Covid jab in early October. If we don't comply we will be fired. No severance but I could collect unemployment for the first time in my life and take a shot a the many side businesses I have been putting off. I am 51 so not old but not young. I do have some FU money but it is hard to walk away from the salary and benefits I get. Early "retirement" where I work for myself on my time could be nice though. Some side projects I have considered are: Flipping houses Selling wood working projects Selling wood working plans online Selling CNC/Laser Cutting files online Selling my custom programs and scripts I have developed over the years If I hustle I could probably make ends meet with these in a year or 2. Could you do some sort of custom woodworking? Like where you would put peoples names on them? People love that stuff for weddings, etc. You could have a booth at local farmer's market type places.

No offense to this guy but my brother knew this from his time in Viet Nam. Each generation gets amnesia. Were all rabid flag-wavers at the start of each war. BOO-YAH! Then reflective hand-wringers after. WHY? WHY? Rinse and repeat. Same as it ever was. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

wonder if liberals and folks like ff2 have heard the stories from the parents who lost children because of this debacle and how they view biden, especially after meeting with him or politely declining. Did you want to protect them? Lets be honest, all this has zero to do with them. Or the Taliban. Or $$$ weapons. It's the American psyche that can't handle the fact that we lost. We hate losing and we're on a bad streak. Most Americans couldn't find Afghanistan on a map and have no idea why we went in there to start. It's the simple fact that we got beat by a bunch of towel heads. And we love a scape goat. 20 years it went on but simpletons pin it on Biden because thats easy. We lost over 7,000 soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq over 20 years. Over 30,177 service members and veterans of the post-9/11 wars have committed suicide. And we do very little to help them. We honor our dead for about 2 weeks then move open to the next big story. As a nation we don't care. We really dont. We just wan to "win." We're never gonna learn. But it doesn't have too be this way. Somehow you view and acknowledge that the swamp is alive on both sides of the aisle yet you feel content accepting and continuing their views instead of changing the course. Why? Why do you say Im against change course? I've said over and over we need to change.

Pats release Brian Hoyer.
Could be a procedural move only, to make a roster space then put Harry on IR.

My wife won't LET me shop for groceries because I'll do it "wrong." LOLz I def. understand the exercise aspect. I basically sat in a chair for 35 years of work. If I don't exercise every day I start to freeze up. I guess I'm finding it hard to "shut off" the mindset I had working. I was passionate about my work as much as I hated it at times. Hard to change after doing something so long. Definitely gonna take an adjustment. People suggest volunteering, problem is I hate people. You should join several more Jets online forums. I’m band.

Ernie Whathisface left the Pats. You can go be the Cheat Guru. Ha, Ernie Adams. Fucking guy even left quietly. Anyhoo, it is a challenge to be face to face with the lovely bride (especially if she is retired as well). You cant miss someone if they wont go away. I hit the gym, try to walk an hour a day (that's 2 1/2 hours of me time right there). Also learned to play the bagpipes, which enables me to travel and retain a bond with a bunch of similarly inclined dickheads and get out and have a beer. Going out to meet some dickheads later to celebrate one of their retirements. I also do alot of stuff like laundry/shopping and other chores to take the load of the wifne who is now working from home (THANKS COVID ) Been trying to hit the driving range so I can retain some sort of dignity when I play with my sopne who has become a golf addict and pretty damn good (the fucker) Believe it or not, the day goes quick. I would def. emphasize the physical exercise aspect of it as it is easy to get into a funk and decline physically. Your body is used to 'working" after all these years and your health can really go into a tailspin unless you keep busy. Hope that helps. Congrats? I think I'm a little older. Same situation. Cutting back hours. Only working on easier money projects with people who aren't assholes, but my heart just isn't in it anymore. Wife has the bloated union teacher retirement you hate so much. I can only golf so much. Do have the 1 grandchild who is a blast. But that leaves a whole lot of hours during the day. Ernie Whathisface left the Pats. That's what they want you to think.

and WTF do you do all day? Asking for a friend. I think we are VERY close in age and am a CFP for a living. I deal with this and these questions all day. I can retire, but what I do is enjoyable and lucrative. I am "merging" my business, collecting a fairly large check and will be basically working 20 hours a week. I must stay on for 3 years and then receive another check but I can leave anytime after that. I plan on becoming a single digit golfer, being fluent in Spanish and spend more time with my 2 (3 and 6) grandkids. I bought a house at the beach that they love to go to. Absolutely. I am all for it. Drones and cruise missiles are useful. Yes. But more bunkers and less weddings and cars filled with kids. This is why I say we have to decide what we can stomach.
