Made a Yolo decision I was heavy into BMX when I was in my teens. I was always out with friends trying to learn tricks. Today, practically every town has a skatepark I would have died for back then. Anyways, I always refused to influence/force my kids to do what I like, I only force them to do a sport/activity, anything, but get off your ass. Well it backfired since my 14 year old son signed up for a BMX class on weekends. I was like awesome. It's kind of far away, but I told the wife I got this. First lesson I realized this is gonna suck. Every Satruday afternoon 30 minute drive for a 90 minute course, I can't go home so I stayed. In the end I said fuck it, if I have to stay here I'm joining the class. So, yeah the 50 year old is hanging out with the youngsters. Got a few weird looks then they saw I could handle myself. I thought this could be a last chance to do something with my kid, he's psyched, so am I. Stay tuned for my "broke both my collarbones" thread. media.giphy.com/media/MQEBfbPco0fao/giphy.gifNailed my first 180 bunyhop mid ramp. Showed those pimple popping cunts who's boss. Next step: getting some air. I struggle mightily with these. I also don't put in the practice that's required. So there's that.

Bumping this thread Friend offered me this, and it's very good. Over time, I feel need some umph to my whiskey wether it's peat or cask strengths. All the middle of the road stuff like Aberlour is too bland for me. For pure marketing reasons, I prolly would never have bought this bottle with it's wannabe viking typo, but this stuff is great. Really nice Port finish. monwhisky.fr/3811-large_default/glenallachie-12-ans-ruby-port-wood-finish-48.jpgYou're drinking the wrong ones, then. Try an Aberlour A'bunadh. Something to be said for enjoying a nunaced drink that isn't obsessed with punching your palate (looking at you, Laphroaig).

A majority of my team at work is female (don't get excited). So most of the times when I'm not remote and at work, it's me and 2 to 3 women. I would rather stab my eyes out with diseased needles than have to sit through some of these conversations. Dude. I'm a RN. You're getting off easy, trust me.

Follow-up to above. Atkinson is great, as usual. No wonder the Feds spied on her.

Yea. That's just insane!!!! 140km on skis, fuck that shit. I've skied at least once a year for the better part of 40 years, some years 20 times or more. Prolly 10 years ago, my brain reset and wont allow me to build up any sort of speed at all. Especially on Ice and steeps. I gave zero fucks when I was 20 and without any skills at all (took one lesson my whole life) and would snow-plow down any hill with no fear. I guess its a self-preservation thing as I also gained a fear of heights and ladders I never had before. Hearing the ice grinding in that vid gave me dooosh-chills. Same for me, previously was fearless. I'm less fearful on the MTB compared to when I first began, but that's likely a skills progression thing versus sacking up.

JJII is a monster. All those saying we should sign Bryce Huff to a long term contract - he can't play every down, too small. Fast as shit, but can't play against the run. My favorite was his sack of Josh Allen last season. Josh was like "I'm just gonna run it" and JJ was like "Nah." He gets held a ton, too.

As with all things government/media, it's the phrasing. The argument can be made that some/all of them did in fact die "as a result of" Jan 6th. Same way they conceded in court that vaccine injuries don't 'cause' autism, but can "result" in a diagnosis of autism. Semantics, smoke and mirrors, always.
