Uh oh! Think they fill from within? They certainly have a few assistants who have gotten HC consideration.

It could be the case where the Broncos know the future is with Gase and don't want to see him leave. They elevate him so that he doesn't start running around for more interviews at different teams. Makes sense.

Now Gase probably doesn't interview on the open market. Elway acting decisively.

If the Broncos let Gase go to San Fran that implies to me that they're trying to goad Manning into retirement so they don't have to pay him that 19m or whatever it would cost to cut him. If they keep Gase it means they're still all in on Manning, imo.

Fox is a good coach, won with dellhone, won with tebow, Giants d was real good under him. Wouldn't mind seeing him come here

Its a good thing the owner has alzheimer's, otherwise Elway should be out as well. His decisions fielded this Super Bowl or bust team for the past 3 seasons. Gase stays to keep Manning, but this team is in bad shape at QB, Osweiler? ?? Really? ? I will give Elway a thumbs up for getting Manning to sign in a cold weather city, but he's done. edit: I mean no disrespect to the alzheimer's disease. I meant he is sick and not associated with the day to day anymore.
