And GM Dmitroff for good measure.
Arthur Blank exercised the nuclear option.
Your move Johnson.

Vikings HC up by 5 at Seattles 8 has 4th and 1. 2 minutes left. He goes for it rather then kick fg to go up by 8. Doesn't make it. Seattle might win. 3d and goal right now.

People here in the ATL seem to not like that move. Think many thought he was one of the few that had their shit together over there but who knows. Maybe Blank found out he was gonna vote Orange or somethin lol

Remember when Quinn was the hot coaching commodity and was in the running for the Jets job over Toilet Bowles?

We’re well on our way to securing Lawrence.
Keep Gase around for another 10 weeks and continue to eat shit.
This is the way

Remember when Quinn was the hot coaching commodity and was in the running for the Jets job over Toilet Bowles? I wanted Bowels. That Seattle D was stacked and Bowels seemed to do more with less, a good trait for a Jets HC.

That Seattle D was stacked and Bowels seemed to do more with less, a good trait for a Jets HC. I think, like Rex, he is a better DC than HC. Seems like there isn't always an easy transition between the 2 jobs. I also think that 75% of the "great coaches" are great because of the players that their GM drafted. The key then is to get a GM that understands the schemes that their coach(es) will implement and then find players that fit that mold. They also need to get lucky and find a Mahommes or Lamar Jackson type who the "experts" don't see as the prototype at their position who actually plays very well. And if you are the Patriots, cheating is always an option.

If I was Woody Johnson I would look at the coaches that have stood the test of time and have been more successful (winning percentage) than not. Belichek (.686), Shula (.677), Dungy (.668), McCarthy (.651 pre-Cowboys), Seifert (.648), etc. and try to determine what made them so successful. Based on the list I present I would have to say it is that they had a great QB, Brady, Marino, Manning, Favre/Rogers, Montana (respectively). That begs the question, were the QBs great because of coaching or vise versa. How many coaches have won with an average or slightly above average QB or really turned an average QB into a star?
If the QB makes the coach I think we have to move on from Darnold and try the next great prospect if we have that chance. If the coach makes the QB then who is that coach that is available now? Either way I think it is well past time that the Jets move on from Gase, he is just incompetent.
I would also have to sit with Douglas (I hope that was done already) to see his long term plan for the team. How does he plan to build and how have his moves in free agency the past 2 years and the one draft fit into that plan. Has he hit on the moves he made given the logic behind the move? What grade would you give him so far and does his vision make sense? I think he hit on Becton and some experts didn't think he was necessarily the player he seems to be. I agree with the Adams trade. This wasn't the Jets year and Adams was not a team player plus he got an unbelievable return in the trade. Jury is obviously out on Mims since he hasn't played yet as most of the draft picks haven't. Is that talent level or coaching?
